<DIV>well this is my problem   when out after lu16 and hit a few raid zones.  used Close Mind then Calloused Skin and to my suprize Close Mind failed and did not Resist the stun that callouse skin does to me.  this makes no sense at all and I feel that this might be considered to some people a lil bit of a nerf.  Come on now SOE   it's a 30sec buff!!  with a 3 min recast timer  it's not like we could use it for every pull.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and something else I noticed  myt avoidance has dropped when fully buffed.  went from 68ish & - 69%   to now  65%  anybody else notice this bs?</DIV>

<DIV>The devs have stated that all those abilities that prevent self induced bad effects (the Templar's anti stun, Closed Mind, etc) were never supposed to block them. There was also a very big uproar a while back too, which prompted the dev's looking into it and "fix".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's not a Bruiser targetting change, it was changed for every person that had a similar ability. And it was mentioned quite a bit on the forums, especially whenever some person whined about Bruisers being some kind of tank gods because of this combo.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So yeah, this was intentional, and mentioned multiple times over the course of the last month or so.. including dev response. I'm guessing you missed it (especially seeing as how this is one of your first posts).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for the avoidance, there's many things that can change it. You didn't mention anything about your equipment, stances, or whatnot... so I have to ask: were you using a different stance? (<FONT color=#ffff99>I have about 5% difference between combo and defensive stances</FONT>). Did you replace or have an agi hexx doll move around after the slot change? Did your food change because of the slot thing now? (<FONT color=#ffff99>Agi food giving increase to defense</FONT>). Did you change your weapons due to the new dual wield thing? (<FONT color=#ffff99>Stats on weapons may be different now, so you might be using a new combo</FONT>). Did you gain a level? (<FONT color=#ffff99>Your avoidance is against a thing your level, if you are new to the level, then your skillpoints will be low compared to just before you leveled... you didn't lose out, it's just more accurately representing your skill against a NOW even con creature</FONT>).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If none of these happened, then I'm not sure. It's possible they changed the way some things are stacking now too. What buffs did you have on? Don't forget about Shrug Off.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Raidi Sovin'faile on <span class=date_text>11-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:44 PM</span>

<DIV>I was in defensive stance(Retribution) with my cestiis equiped and both agi hex dolls.  I obviously made sure I was all agi'd out b4 I came to the boards to say [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn].</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I guess I did miss the several posts about the upcoming nerf.   what's the point of having a special skill that allows you to resist stuns and the sort if you can't even use it the access the one skill that Bruisers have that is completely f'n useless which is Calloused skin.  Now I know the massive increase of mitigation is nice and some of you may actually continue to use it, but I believe the whole being stunned part about the skill just ruins it.</DIV>

<DIV>it's a great skill that allows your healers to catch up on healing in a sticky situation.  Say, you're about to die.  throw that on and let the healers get you back to full hp.  than cancel it and go back to work</DIV>

<P>Yes, and it's very usefull as an offtank skill in case you get attacked by a another group and you aren't set up in defensive mode. Grab all the attention, slap on the selfstun and let the MT grab aggro.</P> <P>It's kind of an emergency skill.</P>

<DIV>I still use it (always will, too).  I just use it when my FD fails, and i need something to hold me til FD is up.  Plus it allows other players to grab aggro while you are sure that your hate gain is at a minimum </DIV>
