OK, i am a 50 bruiser., and im not sure but it seems my DPS is better when i use my offensive stance (magmatic fists) without weapons, the proc out does the extra dammage ide be doing with my 2 legendary t5 playaer made fists. I have AD3 magmatic fists which does a max of almost 1k dmg without weapons equipped and has a 10% proc rate just wondering if anyone has parsed this or has noticed one way or the other

Proc % is based on delay time, so having a higher delay time will result in more procs because Combat Arts aren't affected by the delay time of a weapon. That's why the imbued cobalt greatmace is the best non-fabled weapon out there for Bruisers.

When you swing closed fists, you have a like a smaller delay time and it only counts as 1 weapon, not 2, so when you do the proc formula and add onto the damage of a weapon, the weapon will come out far ahead.

I think the only reason why they gave us the big procs fighting unarmed is for role-playing reasons and class uniqueness, since Bruisers should be able to be effective by punching.

I don't consider the greatmace to be the best Bruiser weapon, I think a 2h like bo staff is sweet because auto attack damage goes up, if your simply auto attacking with a lower delay weapon your dps would be higher than auto attacking with a slow weapon.

Bruisers can't reach the haste cap or anything anymore.

Yea, i understand about the delay and proc% but i seem to do way more dammage without weapons, for example, when i use the 100 hand slap the proc will go off 1-4 times doing up to about 4k dmg and when i use the AOE version of the 100 hand slap with like 5 mobs , not sure exactally but i think ithe proc has gone off up to 9 tiimes ( this might be exagerated) the reason i started this thread, is time and time again when im soloing mobs seem to die faster when i use no weapons and offensive stance especially when there are more than 3 mobs i am fighting and i can use the AOE version of 100 hand slap. like i said before i havent parsed it just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing, and if not try it out next time you are soloing. pull a single mob use your ghetto mez or stun it, get on the backside then 100 hand slap. the proc doesnt always go off alot but if it goes off more than once you will do alot of DMG

I parsed it right after the expqansion between no weapon and my crook both in offensive stance againt the lizards my the oasis (were white at the time) and came to an end result that is was pretty equal most the time as far as DPs goes unless if there was a group of mobs and my crokk aoe'd proc'd often then slightly more for the crook.

Have not tested it recently since I got all my t6 weapons, but will take a look if I remember tonight and let you know.

Yes i noticed the same thing back when i was 48-50. I did some rough tests in permafrost one night when i was duoing with my templar friend on ^^^ giants and barefisted consistently outdamaged my pristine imbued augmented fist wraps combo. I dont run a damage parser so i cant speak with complete certainty but i timed with a stopwatch 10 fights each with both barefisted and wraps doing as many CA's as i could on both sets to try and keep the results as even as i could and every encounter we finished barefisted came out about 40 to 15 seconds faster depending on how many procs i got in during the fight. As you said when you drop a hundred hand slap on them, especially from behind so you dont get blocked, you often see 2 or more procs of engulf for 800-1000+ damage each time which is difficult for a wraps combo to make up for in auto attack damage. When i got to 51 i got hold of two imbued cobalt weapons and the story changed considerably though. Barefisted might have the goods on T5 rare weapons but T6 outdamages it at least in my experience.
