<DIV>Overall the new bruiser is one for the better , Ive had a lot of fun being MT , Off tank , and dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My only concern has been when Tanking Multiple group mobs im losing aggro to easy. With Valens gone and no more buff taunts im interested to know how other bruisers are handling multiple mob taunting. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently i go into multiple encounters starting with my abuse M1 , followed by Savage fists M1 also , then a single taunt , which by that time all the mobs have run off to kill everyone in the group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>well when its multiple mobs at my level (25) I use jeer and area attacks soon as they come so they hate me, if people focus on your target it shouldnt be a problem and if you keep doing jeer or what ever area taunt you have they wont switch to the healer</DIV>

Of course bruisers cant be real tanks we are still dps if we could then we might be able to challenge guardians .....cant have that. Parking my bruiser and only using defiler bruisers suck [Removed for Content] except for pvp. What is a bruisers role , cant AE taunt means we cant  tank. dps is good but cant match a scout or a caster. we have no role other than off tank WHOOPEE. <div></div>

Everybody is having agro issues, including Guardians. From what I've seen in group situations, stance seems to make the most difference. It's counter-intuitive, but offensive stance actually holds agro far better than the increased DPS should account for. I know, it's a damned if you do/damned if you don't situation, either hold the agro or be able to withstand holding the agro, but that seems to be the choice at this point. (That's after testing with Slurred Insult (Adept I) and later (Adept III) and Jeer (Master II) … I was still losing agro to a single attack using the ad3/m2 while in defensive stance, once I switched to offensive I had almost no agro management problems.)

<DIV>I have done both tank and dps rolls we have problems in both area's, single mobs we are fine on group mobs we have trouble holding agro..but so does every tank out there right now. I have spent more time in off tank/ crowd control role so far xping. The problem I am haveing here is not stripping agro from the MT, with out the agro dump that casters and scouts get we strip agro constantly .. everytime I use my offensive stance its agro in 5 swings ..at that point I have to hot swap stance ..and if I want to give agro back in any type of reasonable time fd or turn atack off.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally I think they should take out the fire stance and give us an agro transfer spell..or maybe incorporate agro transfer into our shrug off..which I use on the primary tank. The problem with including it in shrug off is, when there are more than one bruiser in a group I generally drop shrug off on the healer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kainn - 50 bruiser </DIV> <DIV>Everfrost "The Horde"</DIV> <DIV>Been there, Seen that, Been killed by it, Came back and kicked its [Removed for Content]!</DIV>

Please don't think I am belittling your experience, but if they were to give us agro-reducing spells, it would be like EQ1 and rangers.  Jolt and Jolting Blades, then unload.  Tivializes things IMO. I am fond of the combat changes so far.  I think it SHOULD be that we have timely use of skills, rather than line them up in a hotbar and hit 12 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - + in a row as fast they they refresh.  Skills should MEAN and DO something, not just "another kick for a bit more damage on top of autoattack", like Eye Gouge is a debuff too. I know a lot of folks want each class to go all out and the MT holds agro and healers heal and DPS DPS's, but I prefer a bit more thinking when I fight.  I play the game for mental stimulation, not loot or bragging rights about my DPS.  Not saying you are, just stating my ideas. <div></div>

The only aggro management issue I have had is with multiple mobs when I am grouped. Am i missing something? Did we ever get an upgrade to shout?

at 34 I use Jeer.  They have taken the fear component out now. <div></div>

<P>part of the problem might just be the group gets too aoe happy <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>with the increased dps from dps classes some people need to learn some self restraint.</P> <P>I could be wrong.</P>

You're 100% right, D.  Not sure why people think all out DPS can be handled by a defensive tank and a few taunts. <div></div>

Simple fix would be to reduce the timer on the AE taunts. 10 secs sounds good to me. <div></div>

The tank shouldn't be the only group member to have to use their brain.
