<P>Unarmed combat is just flavour, for best power, its advisable to use weapons still, unless your weapons are really bad, and then an occasional proc with more damage may help, but remember unarmed is a 1 handed attack, not dual wield, and its base damage is pretty poor. Also the cons mean more now, so be carefull in what fights you take.</P> <P>That said, I was still soloing low 'yellow' solo mobs on beta at the end, so you should be able to do ok too. (with weapons)</P>

<DIV>Its a weapon quality issue.  I had the same problem using a store bought weapon on Isle of Refuge.  The weapon had no quality rating and so The mob was immune to it.  I was able to hit the mob with a regular Treasured/Legendary/Fabled weapon.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im pretty sure bare hands dont have a quality rating and so...theres gonna be mobs that cant be hit with bare hands.  ALOT of them.  I actually brought this up in a previous thread but never made an issue out of it.</DIV>

<DIV>The bare fists procs were probably put there to help out lower level bruisers who don't yet have access to l33t fabled weapons... because when I logged in mine tonight, as a 22 bruiser I was actually doing more damage with bare fists + offensive stance than when using a T2 rare crafted staff. adept I fiery fists can proc for like 175-250 damage with no weapon equipped, which is pretty sweet damage in the 20's.. but I can see how the higher you get, it would be less and less useful (and ultimately 100% useless) as more mobs start to become immune to fists.</DIV>

<DIV>Oh its far from useless at 50+.  Its free damage.  If your not in the tanking position (I.E. not getting hit) stick the stance on and you will get good damage results even with weapons.  I have to play around with the stances more but....no not useless at higher levels.</DIV>
