Bruiser is the highest DPS fighter class: True or False?

I'm looking to roll up a fighter that does very good DPS.  The group will have a Guardian in it to tank and thats fine by me, I want to DPS but still be a fighter class.  I understand a scout or mage would be more DPS.  I played a Zerk to 50 and at that time, a bruiser and monk was excellent DPS with great buffs so I'm looking to decide between one of those two. <div></div>

well, Bruiser will still be the best dps among the fighters, but their dps will be closer to plate tanks than to scouts / mages. Finnster <div></div>
