<DIV>Ok, I'm used to being a Freeportian.  However I'm also looking to make the best evasion tank I possibly can.  So I'm trying to figure out which to pick to do that with.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Right now after looking at so many screen shots of skills my brain is mush and I'm left thinking that Monks have cool looking skills.  Which doesn't help me with determining the better tank of the two.  What do you guys think?</DIV>

<DIV>monks will have slightly less dps than bruisers, while tanking slightly better</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BUT... both classes can cap out their avoidance, leaving bruisers with slightly higher mitigation than monks.</DIV>

<DIV>Just realized I should have asked this in my last post.  But the cap is much like mitigation where it caps against even con things?  Or do the defence / parry, etc skill numbers cap?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And how much more avoidance / mitigation are we talking about anyway?  Do Monks have roughly more avoidance as Bruisers have mitigation?  Or do they have like 10% more avoid for Bruisers having 2% more mitigation?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another thing I wanted to ask, do Bruisers get the ability to riposite?  As I saw that the counterattack ability of certain skills was being removed.</DIV><p>Message Edited by WinterAnarth on <span class=date_text>08-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:20 PM</span>

<P>Not sure on the % caps for you .. .. but I am prety sure ALL fighter types have a chance to repost attacks.. even npc fighter types.</P> <P>Repost is not listed as a skill like pary defence and block, it just happens.</P> <p>Message Edited by Manopow on <span class=date_text>08-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:18 AM</span>

<div></div>Monks are meant to tank better but in the current game bruisers are better tanks hands down. AFAIK basic avoidance is the same for both classes, if I see monks with higher avoidance, its because they have more agility, which is however only good for soloing. I suspect that monks have more raw HP too, since I've seen some line in CC patch notes that said something about putting bruiser HP in line with monks. If you are looking for the best avoidance "tank", play a guardian, maybe revamp will change this but I wouldnt bet on it. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Skharr on <span class=date_text>08-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:45 PM</span>

Riposte is a subfunction of the Parry skill. The higher your Parry skill the more often you will riposte attacks. The same goes for NPCs.<div></div>
