So clarify... do we get the heat damage proc *with weapons*, or only if unarmed? If we got it with weapons, we'd claw back at least some of the dps nerf...

<P>actually only a small proc works with weapon</P> <P>the big one ony works unarmed (not fist-wapon - unarmed)</P> <P> </P> <P>thats why there are listet two procs "under certain conditions"</P> <P> </P>

Ah... booger.Oh well!It will be interesting to see where they pitch the proc in terms of what quality of weapon you need to do better than the unarmed proc. And of course whether unarmed damage is upgraded to allow hits on the big mobs. That needs flagging louder if still an issue.

<DIV>actually, the unarmed stances have not changed.  I just checked last night and they are the same.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You never had to be unarmed for our primary offensive stance, but due to the % drop in effectiveness using weapons, it's almost not worth using.  Other buffs that required being unarmed are the same... still unarmed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Brawl no longer gives +21 fist, and nor does battle fury, so there is no need for us to use fist weapons.  Adept 1 battle fury gave me 37 AGI and 8.4 STR... [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot], 8 point 4.  Monks version of it gives 37 STR and 56 WIS.</DIV>

Yeah my fault Path about that unarmed thing.  I just assumed yours was the same as ours and didn't realize the unarmed gave an increased benefit to your offensive stance.

<P>Thundering Fists was the only one (for Bruiser anyways) that required fists to gain any benefit. The offensive stances only ever gave "more" benefit when unarmed.</P> <P>They changed Thunder Fists to be a simple 100% proc thing (no matter what weapon used). For an example... 17 power cost for 5 hits at 17 damage each (at app IV). Not really worth it overall, since it has a 1 minute reuse timer...</P> <P>I pretty much use it when I'm fighting a healer and want that extra push of damage to kill em off so they can't heal... or against those nasty stiflers/nukers right at the start to kill em off quick. They all proc pretty quick with dual wield, so it's basically like doing an extra 85 damage in a few hits.</P>

I use the thundering fists against group mobs using my AE attack. But still have app 1 since I'm poor on test (just started a bruiser there and lvl 15.5 atm) It's also nice doing that extra bit of damage waiting for your other skills to recycle and the only option is the auto attack. Still have some way to go <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>To answer your other question ... the Intimidate line (yes, it upgrades now) no longer works on epic mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, there is one of our procs that was changed from unarmed to crushing damage - I forget which one.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
