<DIV>Hi, all -- I looked at Knuckle's extremely useful FAQs and scrolled thru some back pages, but can't find the easy answer to my 24 bruiser's question.  Its the message that "you are too close, back away to do more damage", but of course just backing up, the mob advances with you.  Is seeing this message a signal that it is time to stun?  and upon stunning, do you circle around behind the mob for more damage?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Corsonna, AB server</DIV>

<P>The message you are getting is most likely a pathing problem/bug.  If you are standing right infront of (or on top of) a mob, the only message you should get is "Can not see target" if you are facing the wrong way.</P> <P>Otherwise, just move around a little bit and try fighting in a different spot to see if you get the same problems. Let me know if the problem persists and I'll do some deeper thinking on the matter. :smileyhappy:</P>

Sure you haven't pulled with a ranged shot and then not switched to melee attack? If you don't, you'll get a message like this.

<DIV>definately sounds like you're trying to range attack a mob while in melee range</DIV>

Doh.  My dyslexia had me reading that the mob was "too far" rather than "too close" like the OP stated.  Yep, you were most likely using a ranged weapon.  Either set up your Melee hotkey, or press the button to the left of the '1' key (` and ~) to use your melee auto attack.
