Weapon choice for soloing

<DIV>I just turned 16 with my ogre brawler and can't wait till I become a bruiser. I love going solo more often than groups. My question is, since i'm in fact my own main tank do I want to keep using duel wield weapons, or should I invest in a nice 2h? Currently with my duel wields I can solo orange and yellows with no problem. Blues and whites I can take 3 or 4 at a time. The duel wields I'm using now do 4-15 damage with 1.7 delay and have +3 str and +3 agi on them.</DIV>

I am currently level 17 and i use mainly my dual wields because of the stacking bonuses (+4 agi X2).   At this low of a level riposting isnt much of an issue so i would stick with this till you hit the big leagues.  Well thats what i plan on doing until 20's.  2 handers are very effective  at higher levels (35+, just a guess)because u get riposted less because u hit less but like i said at lower levels the ripost dmg isnt that much.  it becomes an issue with the bigger mobs. <div></div>

I agree with a lot of what has been said.  Especially the try both and see what works for you.  The main reason behind this is because each of us play a little bit differently.  However, my personal recommendation would be to keep both on you to use depending on what you are fighting.  Lots of little mobs with down arrows or something like that and I would dual wield.  A single green ^^ and I would use the 2h.  The reason is the mob with the more hps is gonna take longer to kill.  Thus as you are dual weilding you are greatly increasing the chance of getting riposted on several times.  With a 2h you hit slower with pretty much equal damage outcome but you don't get riposted on nearly as much.
