<DIV>Looking for a little advice on what to use a ruby I recently harvested. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Presently, I've got 2 adept3's: Battle Fury and Shrug Off. I would previously have gone for Retaliation as a no-brainer, but since making 50, I tank less, and with the combat tweaks coming, I'm hesitatant to spend it there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've not really been particularly attracted to upgrading damage spells, as they generally don't tend to be worth it. Combat tweaks could affect this too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And I kinda like my rings. One's the Haste Ring, the others' another 9 AGI ring...plus I hear the buffs are the same off non-rare rings.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone wanna make the situation easier for me?</DIV>

Go with Stop Heart, then Abuse, then Crushing Fury, then Savage Blows, then Roundhouse.  Those are the best adept 3's in the 40-50 range.  While the Roundhouse one is a less impressive upgrade than the rest of them, you have to remember that roundhouse is once every 10 seconds, and that adds up dramatically.

If you must go the DPS route rather then taking Retaliation definately go for Roundhouse, last time I parsed a rather lenghty raid fight of approx 7 min, it came out as the 2nd most damaging attack next to raw melee. Then Crushing Fury Savage Blows Grapple (Meteor Punch doesn't work on Epic^^^ npcs) Bone Crusher Dirty Punch Pummel Eye Rake Crusher Hammer Fist But come Combat Revamp you may find your self tanking more, so Retaliation could be a must. As for rings the ring buffs aren't the same on lower tier/quality rings, the imbued ruby is +13 + great stats/resists too best non-rare-raid dropped. <div></div>

<DIV>Hammer fist isn't worth upgrading.  Master 1 is about 10 damage more than the app4 version, the debuff end doesn't change at all.  If going pure DPS, go this route:<BR><BR>Roundhouse<BR>Crushing Fury</DIV> <DIV>Savage Blows<BR>Bone Crusher</DIV> <DIV>Crusher</DIV> <DIV>Dirty Punch</DIV> <DIV>then whichever order you want with the rest.<BR><BR>If you've only got so much money to spend, do the order i posted up top.  That is a very economic list of the skills worth upgrading.  If you still aren't sure, use your gut instinct to choose.<BR><BR>I gotta make a list of adept 3s and master 1's sometime soon...  Give me a week or three, I'm a busy guy</DIV>

<DIV>I ended up doing Stop Heart this time. My reasoning was that if there was one thing I could be relatively sure wouldn't get nerfed in the upcoming combat changes, that would be it. (Also, no jewelers that didn't want an arm and a leg for a ring.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Plus, in the few weeks before the diluvian nerf, I figure that will help me save a little cash on armor repairs when I start beating on some raid mob like the freaky, freaky beast that I am.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the advice though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, now that it's upgradable, has anyone used an opal on Brawl? I heard Master gives 25/40, adept1 is 21/40, so if adept3 is 24 or so, that'd be worth doing.</DIV>

You'll notice in my original post that I had Battle Fury at Adept3 previously. That's why you didn't see it anywhere on the list of recommendations. I'd be careful to upgrade it now, though, since no one knows what the combat changes will mean. <div></div>
