Has anyone toyed with the avoidance boost listed on Shrug Off? I did a bit of math today and all though it isn't my strongest ability, I can't get the numbers to add up. It says it adds 45% to the avoidance of the target which on paper is quite significant but in actuality isn't very significant. It's a minor boost of a few percentages at best. Anyone have any further insight in to this?

<DIV>I think the advoidance displayed number calculates parry, deflection, shield factor, and base advoidance... Shrug-off prolly only raises base advoidance, so the overall displayed percentage increase is very small.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kylinsky on <span class=date_text>04-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:25 AM</span>

Aye I figured as much, but my numbers still doesn't add up then even when it's based on base avoidance. <div></div>

<DIV>I believe that tiny avoidence increase you see when putting Shrug Off on is purely from the +10 Agi or so. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I believe the melee engine understands shrug off not as a straight avoidence buff but as a sort of "lending" out our deflection skills to the target. That is to say, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mob tries to hit TANK, but Opaki blocks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I still can't fight the chat option that makes this work, and haven't parsed to compare (because I'm lazy) but that would explain why the buff isn't really displaying in the persona screen.</DIV>
