Honestly this could go either way and normally I would be excited at this news, but considering the fiasco that was our AQ I'm a bit nervious.<a href="http://eq2vault.ign.com/View.php?view=asksoe.Detail&category_select_id=38" target=_blank>Moorgard interview @ IGN</a>"<i>Sassee: Are there any plans on allowing players to /hide other parts of their armor besides helmets? Currently, lots of players have tattoo, paint, etc. that run down other parts of their body. Some feel that allowing players to show them off would help a lot with player variations.</i> Steve "Moorgard" Danuser: We introduced the /showhood command to make helms invisible because many players (myself included) enjoy showing off our facial customizations. While hiding other armor pieces would make sense for certain professions, it also has the potential for detracting from the game world. I don't know of many paladins in literature, for example, who run around with bare legs. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <b>There will be additional armor appearances coming, typically for monks and bruisers, that will allow races with body art to show off their customizations.</b>"

<DIV>Very Vauge.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Will have to wait and see</DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#33cc00>I like what is suggested. I would love to have my troll with pants, boots and bracers showing. Would give him that street brawler look I would like. I do not think we will have to worry about a /showpant option. We all know if we had that command, we would have a 1000 Dark Elves running around in their undies. :smileytongue:</FONT></DIV>

I think as a brusier a shorts option is viable and still maintain the street fighter image. They would just have to be fairly long, but knowing soe they would probally appear as biker shorts on male models <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.

I guess my concern comes from what occured with our AQ. We had a decent looking AQ that many of us loved, and over the course of time we ended up with a low res brown canvas bag as armor. Now, I personally, am back in the situation where I love the armor I am wearing (full set of rare T5 crafted) and am very concerned that the changes they make will be lackluster in design. If you haven't seen the full set of augmented leathers I'll be happy to post a screen when the servers are up so you can fully appreciate where I am coming from.Mind you this could go the opposite way, and they do a wonderful job with the armor changes, which we all are hoping for, still makes me nervious.

<DIV>When I think of bruiser, though surely my vision isn't necessarily the 'ultimate' I think more of a "road warrior" type of leather-spikes-n-studs kind of a punker rather than a pyjama-wearing monk - more 'S&M-wear' than bathrobe. I want to see studded leather full caps/masks (good enough so you dont have /showhood off), giant spikes from oversized shoulderpads, spiked kneepads, huge boots. Either some kind of thick leather studded straps over the torso. If I see more poofy pants waving in the wind I'm gonna hurl.</DIV>

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I hate that kung-fu crap and foo-foo clothes.I really hate that my huge ogre man-[Removed for Content] are prominently on display for everyone to comment on...which they do.Often....We need a /duel command for days like that.
