<DIV>Well it seems they choosed to let us have the monk type Armor Quest instead of correcting the old bruiser one.  I am not against both are nice.  In their first attempt the color was an horrible pink And we raised against. that's nice, they listened but gave us a strange grey....  Not trully fun compared to the pure white Monk Have.  Well I think they can change that Let us say which color we want for our robe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personnally my choices are :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Opposed to monk class Pure dark should be great.</DIV> <DIV>A mix of Dark and Red</DIV> <DIV>A mix of blue and gold.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What's yours ?</DIV>

Sorry Alisya, you know we can't have two sets of armor... just give us the old armor back that caught our eye in the beginning...<p>Message Edited by Xcomdefense on <span class=date_text>01-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:29 PM</span>

How kind of you to insist on the old armour Xcom, which was utterly and completely broken on all females...That isn't the correct fix.As a modeller and texture artist myself, I know it is NOT hard to make these changes. The original armour was a nice concept, but the actually implementation was utterly flawed and broken, especially on us gals. The model was sloppy, the textures low rez, not correctly mapped to the model. What they should have done is simply adjust the model and clean it up, retexture it and then re-introduce the original armour in it's FIXed form. But, just putting things back as they were before the changes will not work...it was completely broken before the changes, and that is not acceptable.I am not a huge fan of the female monk armour...it just doesn't look very monkish, nor very bruiserish. I feel the bruisers should have something more gladiator-ish. Hopefully they will wake up and realize that this fix of theirs is just wrong and they will take the time to do a REAL fix.Blech! That brown is gonna look as horrible on my skincolour as the other leather armours. Horrible.

While creating my Female Brawler I took time to consider my playstyle first, then costume appearance, if I wanted to appear as a female monk I would have made a female monk, so not only do I instist, I demand it.

How about the old armor back, and doing some FIXING on it, please, thats all we ask, for you to have fixed the old armor in the first place and given us the updated version of the old armor, but since this isnt Butterfly Effect you cant go back and do that and avoid angry mobs of people, you can only make amends and give back the old armor now all fixed and better. And for the love of God, change skin like crap form to Black Panther form to match the monks Tiger form, itd be balanced.

<DIV>I agree the old armor is the only REAL solution. I just finished AQ6 and... well I know I would have looked a hell of a lot better a couple weeks ago. Bring back the old style ASAP!</DIV>

I've still yet to see a single person agree with the changes done to the fecal brown.... it's gotta go.

It's one of the few avenues we have to being unique.

<DIV>Males one / Females another.</DIV>

i dont see how that constitutes as a problem. unless of course he meant that 1 sex cannot have 2 sets of armor, then yes i agree, and it would never fly anyways.i still fail to see how it would be a problem to have old for males new for females. there is no dependancy between the 2 sets. even if the old one looks the same on both female and male.<p>Message Edited by Alisya on <span class=date_text>01-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:38 AM</span>

There is no reason it could not be 2 different sets. Afterall, it already exists, that which males wear is not the same as females, otw our breasts would be um well, free....

The diffrence between both monk&bruiser armor should be obvious, so its confusing why sony picked the old monk AQ for bruisers of all things...Mabye the change in bruiser armor actually was a quickfix while our old armor is being tended to. throw me a bone here please!<p>Message Edited by Xcomdefense on <span class=date_text>01-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:51 AM</span>

<DIV>No Gi for me please. I personaly dont want to have anything to do with martial artsy stuff. I thought the Bruiser was kinda like a street thug or pit fighter kinda guy. I dont want to be an evil Kung Fu master. just a guy with a club that knows how to box</DIV>

<DIV>Personally I like neither style and dumped my quest armor for etched leather. I play an ogre bruiser and the original just made me look like a genie out of some Arabian Nights story. Not what I was after. The new look was an improvement for my character but I still don't feel like a 'bruiser'. </DIV> <DIV>My take on the class has always been that of a thug/fighter that smashed things with his fists, period. Not a jumping, twirling, giant Jackie Chan. I started this game on the second day, so I didn't know how wrong I was until I started progressing through the attack styles. Flying kick just looks wrong as an ogre. But I can live with the attack graphics. I just couldn't stand the looks of the quest armor.</DIV>

<DIV>I play a troll bruiser (on a seperate account) and I think the AQ armor is fine, besides its not like your going to be stuck with AQ armor forever, once you hit your high 20s your AQ armor is pretty much useless compared to what you can get at your level.  </DIV>

<DIV>I remember back in the days of EQ1 oldstyle graphics, around when Velious wasn't new, but not old yet either, the three different cities that you could aquire quest armor from all had a different look. You had the tanish stuff that covered a lot, the monkish balloon pants and cloth wraps, and the awesome looking red/black vest type chest look with a graphic of some sort on the back.  The only time I saw the third (I never did the quests = ) Was on an Iksar and it looked awesome. So yeah, a red/black tough look would be awesome. Open chested vest, with a tube top under (A simple addition to what would otherwise be identical male/female armor) and the other slots to somewhat match, leave the arms bare, give us wristbands of somekind that half cover our hands as the new AQ already. We would look intimidating and everyone would know what we were when we come swaggering down the street, just looking for a head to bust in.</DIV>
