Address to Devs: Change our "Fun" Abilities

<DIV>I know this has been said in probably too many threads already. But it's obvious that Sony is paying attention -- we've seen now two changes to Bruiser armor because of player feedback. AQ armor is all well and good, but how long does it really effect the player? It may last 10 or so levels, but eventually it is discarded. We're stuck with crappy fun abilities for the entire game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The real issue here is the fact that every Bruiser is considered a laughingstock insofar as fun abilities are concerned. I use my ability so seldomly some people on my server have asked me if I even get one. I respond, "erm... sort of." After showing them, they usually ask if I've even used it, yet, as it really is barely noticable. Then I go, "Yeah, I just clicked it. See? I look kind of old and rusted..." Then the player proceeds to laugh uproariously and tell me I got shafted. I then tell them, "yeah, and our level 40 ability is even worse."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This really is crap. Overall I love the Bruiser, that's not the issue. They must really hate bruisers up at SOE, because first they make our armor quest gear horrible looking and then after 8 pages and multiple threads of telling them to fix it, they just make it brown and move on..grr. Tiger Form..freaking TIGER FORM, for our goody good counter parts, which is great! If youre one of the qeynosian good ol boys. But we arnt, we're a bit tougher, a bit more brutish, and what do we get? pink or brown earth toned flamboyant armor and an ability that makes us look like a gangly arbor or a thousand beavers crapping on us and we survived, Real tough looking bruisers there! I'm assuming the Monk gets Tiger Form because it symbolises the graceful nature of the monk in natural form ? So why don't Bruisers get "Rhino Form" then ? Since they are natures juganaughts of destruction. It's big, hard and you generally get out of it's way.Plus the graphics are already "in game".How hard would that be to implement.Also Monks are martial artists, whereas Bruisers are street fighters, so why is our first "fun" spell a Kata ? I'd like the fluff spell increasing our size to about double, making us more menacing. The enforcer class in AO, which has a somewhat similar lore to Bruisers, gets that as sideeffect of some buffs, i really liked it. Obviously that wouldnt work that well inside of dungeons or the like, but still, a 15 foot ogre coming for you is a whole other story than one covered in poop.

The level 20 fluff is fun especially if u time just as a fight end , everyone thinks u just did some uber attack.POur level 40 fluff spell is so dissapointing compared to all the other classes. The sound of guard dog sounds good to me, or the panther, heck anything but the giant [Removed for Content] we got now.

I like the Rhino suggestion, except it would suck to be so huge, I would NOT want to be a small rhino, like a [Removed for Content] calf. What would be the point...=PMaybe something along the same lines as the rhino, in that they can crash a party, so to speak. hello,Stardog Moonrunner, lvl 50 bruiser from the Oasis Server. The lvl 20 fun spell was...cute, I loved scaring noobs with it. Wood Skin Style...I renamed to crapskin due to the look of flung dung all over you. Iron Skin Style, well lets just say it's a little "rusty".Now I know that it will take an act of congress to have anything done about it, but it would be nice to see some changes. if they want to keep the wood skin style lets see some branches or thorns on our skin. Iron Skin Style, I imagined that it would be something like Colossus from the comic book, but no we're throwbacks from the rust pile with it.As far as the level 20 armor goes, I kind of enjoyed running around in an outfit that looked like something that someone totally into S&M would wear. I really enjoyed the patchwork look we had too, I just told people that it was sewn skin from my countless dead foes.I enojoy the bruiser class over all and the main thing I can say if you all are truly that disgusted with it, there are more than one class that you could play. I mean enjoy the game for what it is, a game. Anyhow, there's my 2 cents worth.
