It is apparent that alot of people are unhappy with the lazy approach of copying the monk armor and just giving it new colors, so let's get together as a community and come up with fresh ideas for the developers to read, and if we are lucky, hopefully run with some of them.My suggestion - *Armor is designed with female models in mind. All armor pieces should be a blood red, or black in color save the steel pieces.*Arms - Graphic is displayed as a steel elbow pad, rather large with short spikes coming out of it.Wrist - No graphic.Hands - Fingerless gloves with a steel plate on the backhand which has short spikes coming out of it.Boots - No graphic.Pants - Shorts that end just above the knee. Steel knee pads which have short spikes coming out of it. *Version 2 - Theigh high leather boots with the previously mentioned knee pad, tight 'bicycle' style shorts which start a few inches above where the boots end*Chest - Very simple, yet well textured chest wrap similar to luclin model monks in EQ1.I belive this armor would be extreamly functional, hold true to the feel of a brusier and be very attractive and unique. Please feel free to include your ideas for a new armor look, hopefully something will come out of it!<p>Message Edited by Miyu-Legacy on <span class=date_text>01-07-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:26 AM</span>

<DIV>Bondage Bondage Bondage</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The graphics should represent the genre of an evil type character. Metal spikes, black straps, and an overall sense of "This guy is sick". </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The current choice is pretty much the opposite of what I described.</DIV>

<DIV>I think the tight clothing is not in type with the class. A bruiser is a guy who wears a more baggy set of trousers...with little or no armor/clothing up above the waist. Spikes and such may be a bit much...we are not KISS wannabe's, but I am a barefisted fighter with an attitude, this armor just doens't work. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>S~</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#ffffff>These are all great ideas. Spikes, leather, metal, ruggedness, these are all things that I would associate with the hardcore punching and kicking of a Bruiser. I do NOT associate in any way, shape or form the color pink. AT ALL. I felt so proud of myself for actually sticking with it and completing all six of those painstaking armor quests. Walking around in TS for the first time nabbed me some attention as some people had never seen a Bruiser were seeing by far the most original armor so far. Now it looks like [Removed for Content] Eye for the Straight Guy came along and dressed me up and kissed me goodnight in my nice new pink "Jammies" (as someone so eloquently called them). I feel especially bad for those who have completed up to AQ5 and are now running around looking like they just got off the boat from IoR.</FONT></DIV> <DIV>PLEASE SONY GIVE ME BACK MY INSANELY COOL ARMOR</DIV> <DIV>or something else completely (thats not pink for crying out loud)</DIV>

Actually... tighter fitting outfits (or lack there of) would be more suitable for a brawler, who would want to wear someting that wouldn't allow other opponents something to grab on to... baggy shirts and pants would be easily grabbed in a brawl <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I'm not sure i like the idea of spikes on the joints... kneepads and elbopads would be spiffy though.Bruiser... just think of regular wrestling attire.although, i'd be for anything that shows off really nice on a Dark Elf female bruiser <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />at this time, i'd also like to officially request a spiked ball attached to the end of my bruisers long braid.

My suggestion would be to fix the issues with the original set but I doubt that will happen. If we have to stick with the new graphic, I think reversing the colors to black/dark grey with red trim would be acceptable to me.
<DIV><STRONG>i dont know if anyone of you ever played tekken3 for playstation, but my idea for a bruiser is Paul in his crimson red attire.</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Its loose, its baggy, its BRUISER. </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>bruisers are the guys who are barely 6 foot, and look like they could move mountains. </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Those small, but burly guys who kick [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]. Kind of like Chuck Liddell on UFC if anyone has seem him fight. </STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Thats my idea</STRONG></DIV>

<DIV>ideas eh?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>well to me monks always sounded like your classic martial artists and bruisers more along the lines of pugilist/kickboxer/muay thai type </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>that being said i think bruisers would look great in shorts, not like adidas gym shorts but like old school kickboxer type shorts with bare chest graphic, for males and the sports bra type look for females. then maybe for extra toughness some flame tattoos on the back or a dragon or skull or a big scar or something equally tough, you know?</DIV> <DIV>as for the "boots" bare foot with the wrapping around the feet and ankles and over the shins, same with the fists wrapped up like a boxer.</DIV> <DIV>and as for the "sleeves" maybe a nice upper arm band or elbow pads, or maybe even both.</DIV> <DIV>for reference think sagat from street fighter kinda.</DIV> <DIV>i mean you can do tough without spikes and stuff, unless you can get a harley for a mount, then why not. but seriously i think a guy wearing spikes all over the place doing complex martial art type moves is gonna impale himself, or find no one wanting to give him a hug, just my two cp.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>being a monk i also would like to see the monk armor changed at least the shirt</DIV> <DIV>im supposed to be a martial artist not a pirate in a [Removed for Content] pride parade, the exposed [Removed for Content], wwf championship belt, chippendale collar thingy looks like something the artist formerly known as but now known again as prince would wear.</DIV> <DIV>at least ours is white and not pink </DIV> <DIV>yes bruisers i feel your pain.</DIV> <P>Message Edited by Kichigai Daidoji on <SPAN class=date_text>01-08-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>03:04 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Kichigai Daidoji on <span class=date_text>01-08-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:07 AM</span>

<DIV>Heres my vision of the differences between monks and bruisers....Watch Roadhouse. Yeah I know its a sucky movie but just watch it. See Patrick Swayze, he's the monk. See Sam Elliot...Hes a bruiser. Totally different Fighting styles. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I solved my Bruiser Armor problems a few days before the patch.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=121810107" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=121810107</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Chest piece comes from the Kill 200 Goblins in Runneye. Do yourself a favor and get it as soon as possible (well whenever you could actually wear it). Or Get a tailor to make you something. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That new graphic is just sad.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My idea for Bruiser Armor is basicly similer to blue jeans T-shirt type. I mean or even bare chested (The ladies can keep the tube top if they want...Id prefer you didnt but it gets cold some places)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maroon. What the heck possessed them to choose maroon. Black, Grey, these are the colors of evil. Not Maroon. Somebody Someplace just doesnt get it. Id wear a robe before I wore my Steel Stiched whatever again in public.</DIV>

Going to bed now, but will have a graphically edited (mind you I'm not a pro) display of one of my ideas, sans spikes since not many liked it, sometime tomorrow ^^.

I actually would like us to get the outfit that Vassi is wearing. He looks like the kinda guy who would kick a lot of [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot].
