<DIV>It is broken at the moment. It means you take less falling damage the higher the skill is. It will be fixed soon.</DIV>

<DIV>Even get a nice little message everytime safefall works. I've taken some pretty big falls and survived, although I guess the bigger the fall the greater the risk it wont work, as Im still only 75 in safe fall.</DIV>

Lol yes safefall is fun, got mine to around 80 last night while we were all meeting up for a guild event, and at my current skill you can take the fall into the mines in Zek with no dmg just about every time, one time thought it did do dmg, but was only around 800 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Safe fall rocks for my crazy jumping self-Tamaran 39 Iksar Bruiser- Gravestone Coven- AB

<DIV>I'm glad they finally fixed this skill... I forgot how much fun it is to jump off really high places and then trick your non brawler friends into trying it =)</DIV>

<DIV>anyoen got any tricks to leveling up the skill?  a good place that can be easily worked to get skill up?  havinbg max skill 155 and only having it at 55 kinda sucks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>I jumped off one of the griffon towers till around 90-100 then jumped off the top of the bridge in Nek forest till about 150+, that was enough.. very boring to raise but ohh so fun to play around with.  It does decrease the amount of damage you take even on a failed safe fall roll.  I jumped off the mountain side in Antonica and failed safe fall check and only took about 800damage.  </DIV>

<DIV>A few notes from my experiences with training in Safe Fall:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Up to 75 skill I would walk up stairways in Freeport then turn around and jump off the walls that lined them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From 76 to 135 I used the large rock in the Commonlands just outside the Nektulos Forest entrance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From 136 to 150 I used the big ridge you come across entering Antonica from the Thundering Steppes gate, since N'mar's Ascent in Nektulos took too long to climb to make an appreciable fall >.<</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have found from the insanity of throwing myself from ledges that a skillup in safe-fall seems more likely when the odds of you taking damage are higher (higher fall, jumping from the top of an existing fall, aiming for the lowest spot on the ground).  Granted you can get skillups from the same tired ledge if you don't mind doing a lot more falls between skillups.  That's how 120 to 135 went on that rock outside of Nek in the Commonlands...I went from a skillup every 4 to 7 falls to 12 to 15 falls to gain in skill.  At that point I started looking for better ledges to plummet from.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To help with the grim repetition of training safe-fall, I recommend finding a place where you may quickly and repeatedly ascend to the dropping point.  In this way you can just hit autorun and make a big circle up and down and up and..well, you get the idea.  The less time spent returning to your jump point is the more time you can spend jumping and (hopefully) gaining in skill.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Starting somewhere around 130 skill or so, no fall in Freeport I've found so far would hurt me, even when jumping from a roof and down to an even lower street level.  That jump from the tree in North Freeport was particularly fun.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At 150 skill, falling from the very top of N'mar's Ascent to the flat plain at the bottom still does around 1700 damage to me.  This is usually fatal.  Falling down the "hole" partway up N'mar's Ascent (where the stair forms a square) nets from 800 to 1200 damage, roughly, depending on how and where I land since the bottom is not flat terrain.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Future experiments in unassisted suicide will involve jumping down the Celestial Abyss in Zek.  I'm wary of this one though - last time I fell down that was by accident and I hit a ledge partway down, killing me and requiring gm intervention to restore the shard since the ledge was inacessable...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At any rate, hope this info helps and happy landings!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ghidron</DIV>

I've been training up < 75 right at the FG entrance in Commonlands. There a mini-ridge right there. Just run up one side, leap off the peak, and when you land make a u-turn and run right back up to jump off the peak in the other direction.

the best spot is zarvonns tower by nek station, its got stairs, they may not look high but you go up just two sets and leap off, pointing arrow to slam down at base of stairs and run up again, it worked all the way up to 101 skill and was still giving me the proper "you have landed softly without hurting yourself" message so thats a great place to max it and to begin as the stairs have varying heights.

<DIV>i found a great spot was in fallen gate, at the 1st npc that gives the burp bely charm, run up the stair near him and throw urself off the ledge, a nice distance esp if u jump, and thus putting me from 50 to 68 in half an hour, was a great time killer waiting for our tank to show up.. and was funny when my SK friend tried it and almost died lol!!</DIV>

<DIV>Skill 150-196, Jumping down the mine/abyss in Zek. Gotta be carefull though, there are 2 ledges that you need to land on on the way down. 3 Falls, and 3 chances of skill up, before you reach the bottom.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then ride the elevator back up to the top, so much less running that other training spots <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At 150 skill the average damage on each fall was around 1k, now I get either a 'soft landing' or around 350 damage on each of the 3 falls.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However still not enough skill to make the mines in 2 jumps instead of 3. Did it by accident and took 2600 damage.</DIV>
