<DIV>Anybody tried wearing robes instead of light armor for the chest slot?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since we are into avoidance over mitigation was wondering if the loss of AC on the one piece would really hurt us.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So anybody try this and have ok results?</DIV>

No I havent tried yet...But as the Chestpiece gives the highest AC rating of all pieces (I think roughly 40% of overall AC), you are toast if a yellow mob hits you.But someone should test nonetheless, everything is better than the "I am Brownie the root dwarf"-look I am currently wearing. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

There were several high-end monk robes in EQ, hopefully that tradition will carry over into this game.
<DIV>Monks would look cool in robes..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But would you really want a bruiser in robes? I don't think that's what we're meant to be like tbh. I think we're more the sort of people that would punch someone for even considering wearing a robe.. :p</DIV>

<DIV>I agree with Snip.....you want to put a Robe on a Bruiser? Thats like the worst thing you could do to a character thats supposed to be a toughguy. OMG....the image is burned into my brain now....ARGH! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sliestack</DIV>

Since all robes currently are VLA (Very Light Armor), the AC hit is far to big. On the chest slot it seems there's atleast a loss of about 100 ac on the good robes around late 20s/early 30s.
