<DIV>i have a ratonga wiz, but i wanna make my first alt. i find ratongas fun, but with 10 str, and 15 sta is that just too low for an already doubted class? i have 30 agi if that wil do anything. if u guys can inform me on any bruiser info and stuff regarding this i would be very happy</DIV>

<DIV>You'll do fine.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You'll just hit for a little less, but with your super high agility, you won't get hit as much.</DIV>

<DIV>and you will hit more often with the higher agi, as well as proc ALOT more often than the larger, less agile races. I pull aggro off of a fellow guildie all the time... he's usually about 1 level above me, and a barb bruiser.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EDIT... so far I'm not really noticing much of a hitpoint deficiancy either... and that is going for AGI first, STA second... race matters not, its the gear in the end</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rats rule, end of story</DIV><p>Message Edited by narcoleptic_ltd on <span class=date_text>12-18-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:29 PM</span>

<DIV>at this point, rat bruisers are also a rarity as well... so even more fun ... every other rat seems to go with scout</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>although Mickee Mowskowitz is a guardian... loved that name =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

(roughly)</P> <P>if he puts everything towards str, yes he will hit harder... if you put everything to agi, you will swing and HIT alot more often while he will miss... evens out IMO... plus with the extra procs... we probably have more DPS and possibly tank better due to better avoidance.</P>

I'm a lvl 28 Ratonga Bruiser and I've had no problems so far. I tank for groups with ease every time I've tried. As noted in other posts, the high agility is fantastic - I dodge all the time, especially with all the dodge/parry/etc abilities Bruisers get. Group with a Shaman to get wards and you will dominate mobs.<p>Message Edited by Rontgen on <span class=date_text>12-20-2004</span> <span class=time_text>04:03 PM</span>

<DIV>Playing a ratonga bruiser to be as well. What did you guys pick at 18, swift scurry (increased avoidance) or increased agility? Picked swift scurry, but I'm not sure if I should change it when the character differention patch comes along. </DIV>

Nacro- if he puts everything towards strength? As an ogre he already has a huge bonus & this ain't eq1 where you can change your stats at the start. He has 90 strength and we have nealry identical equipment(Apart from some jewelry)! My agil isn't that high unbuffed. He has always been 1-2 level higher then me, but our equipment has usually been the same. Even when out soloing against blues/greens my damage doesn't go as high as his. Mind you I have a way higher intel <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><p>Message Edited by Isop on <span class=date_text>12-23-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:54 AM</span>

You won't really notice a huge difference in stats, say take off something giving you maybe 10 points of strength and parse your damage. It's like the guy said, its gonna be in levels because of skills, especially if your using fist. Ratonga won't make a big difference either, so pick what you want to be and have fun with it, its only a game~ =DUbir Bufff~halfling bruiser level 38 and counting~

<DIV>Actually stats will be an issue in eq2 basic, before all expansions boost every ability to the cap, with racial traits a ogre will have about 40>60 more strength depending on choices at level 50 so yes he will outsmack you by quite abit, you on the other hand get agility as race choice which will let you have 40>60 more agi making you dodge/block/parry a helluva lot more then mor ogre over in the corner, no one will be able to hit caps with eq basic though so at least in this expansion there will be differances, however good equip will lessen the gap, but an equally good equipped ogre will always outdamage you, thats just how it is.</DIV>

<DIV>How do you know what the expansion is going to change?</DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>I cant say that with 100% certainty , but looking at eq1 every expansion made all the old stuff obsolete and i dont doubt that  the same will be true here in eq2, so with first expansion well probably all be cappin our stats or gettin close. Thats how its worked so far , doubt it will change /shrug.</FONT></DIV>
