What dmg type is the best?

i've been neglecting my slashing, so when i got the cestus from the bruiser quest i was missing nearly all my hits!my question is it worth keeping up my slashing, crushing, and any other dmg type? what would the benefits be and is one possibly the "jack-of-all-trades" dmg type.any input is appreciated.

I haven't been keeping up my piercing type skill but Crushing and slashing stay maxed. I switch them out once in a while, it doesn't take long to max em out hehe. I have a question though, do our fists raise as a skill if we just use a fist an duel weapon? <DIV>All of the skills are exactly the same.  There isn't a bonus to using one over the other.  As for raising your fist skill, it cannot be raised.  It levels in the manner that armor does, once every 20% of level.  Also, by using one weapon and an empty hand, you are not dual wielding, despite what the animation shows.  You will only be able to dual wield with two dual wield weapons equipped, never with one dual wield weapon and an open fist </DIV>
