<DIV> <DIV>So I posted on the brawler forum asking about the appearance and cool factor of the moves of monks and bruisers as I approach decision time on my brawler.  Since no one answered I thought I'd come to the source.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What do y'all think of the bruiser animations?  Are the martial art style animations or no?  More kung-fu oriented or more Karate/Taekwondo oriented like the brawler jump-spinning back kick on Thrust Kick, or more wild but neat like the animation for Kick with a staff?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What does thug-like mean?  Wild haymaker swings?  What makes bruisers brutal?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Do you like your animations?  Why or why not?</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>Posted some stuff in the Art & Graphics section, Thread "Bruiser vs Monk stance", some other guy started it. Check it:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</DIV> <DIV> <DIV>It is actually poor animation for the quality expected. I mean anyone whos done some boxing knows you just dont keep moving forward/backward that is just so ... well it tires ya pretty quick. Why not some standing rapid punches? Something to actually KEEP THE PACE with the attack you are doing, not just a "dramatical approx" of your attack. This just KILLS inmersion. I actually only like to look at SOME specials, my regular swinging gets me mad. I mean you usually swing one hand in 2 or 4 real hits... And u usually swing the SAME hand... And your body forward-back-forward-back OMG... Keep em Bruisas STILL!! A simple but reallistic "boxer" approach would be just fine. Give Bruisas the sweet cience!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pretty unfair them monks got them "kung-fu" flava and we bruisas, dirty-boxers, dont get some "stance" graphics. Please give us some art tweaking, were needing it badly! (Among some other things, I must say. But really this IS a priority)</DIV></DIV> <DIV>-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bad news son... No special animations for yer bruisa so far, you better love the ole drunken man swingin (which I hate i must say) you have since yer lvl 1. Yes, yes, the same animation all suckers that swing have in the game. I mean who did they hire to make the "rapid swings" animation? A clown? An orquesta director? or is it just the "innocent" dream of an art designer? and the dreadnoguht kata... What IS that?! Not very brawlish to me... Just some spare animations we stole them monks (YUCK).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As it stands we have no trace of the real flavor of the class. </DIV> <DIV>A Dev statement, or just a lil love would be just right. </DIV><p>Message Edited by Manueles on <span class=date_text>12-07-2004</span> <span class=time_text>09:31 PM</span>
