<DIV><FONT size=2>Actually...I'm a human bruiser, and I've noticed the straps in the front which are supposed to have metal studs in them are very stretched out and weird looking...I don't know if I just need to turn my graphics up or what, but it looks terrible. I'll take a screenshot and post it next time I'm in game...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Can anyone confirm if this is my graphics or the game's graphics problems?</FONT></DIV><p>Message Edited by RDeschain on <span class=date_text>12-06-2004</span> <span class=time_text>10:27 PM</span>

<DIV>As of earliar today, it still looks horrible. It's worse on women than it is on men. I'd rather not have the harness at all, if it's going to be off-center like that. Either they should make the center peice smaller, and center it, or just get rid of the harness all together, at least on the female model.</DIV>

it looks like it's off-center to cover the heart. I think it's kind of cool.

<DIV>It looks terrible still, off centre, distorted, very very low resolution (texture looks like its about 1/10 the resolution of the other armor pieces, very blocky, with staircase effect). And personally, I think the the centre piece is too large. If they shrinked the centre piece down, until it looked sharp and high resolution, and then extended the lengths of the harness straps, and re'aligned it to the middle, it would look alot better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And the bigger the race, the lower the apparent resolution. Its horrible ;(</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bigger variation between male and female armor's would be nice too. The heavy armour females get armor which is considerably more 'shapely' and better fitting than these.</DIV>

<DIV>mmm fix it!</DIV>
aye, the chest piece needs some work, the forarms are also in lower resoltion for some reason...I did a test, I have a x800 pro 256 ati card, turned the setting to extreme, and the armor looked just fine, was still off center but looked more in tune to the resoltion of all the other armors at regular high settings... so for somereson our chest and forarm pieces seem to be at a lower resolution than others pieces of armor, I can deal, but would be nice to see a change, seeing how all the rangers are flippin out that their armor is SLIGHTLY pink...looks more coral to me, and its gettin a change to green, would be grand if we could also get an update while I'm still wearing the armor heh-Tamaran Iksar Bruiser 28 / 11 scholar- AB<p>Message Edited by Mumar on <span class=date_text>12-07-2004</span> <span class=time_text>07:55 AM</span>

<DIV>Lvl 30 Ogre female Bruiser </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the Armor Quest Set looks very nice - still wearing it because of the look (bracer and gloves are now green to me <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</DIV>

<DIV>It does look slightly better resolution in 'Extreme' but thats much more work on the graphics card. Other classes dont need to use extreme to avoid ultrablocky graphics.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also don't agree that off centre looks look. It looks like I dont know how to put on my armour in the mornings. It also stretches and distorts the texture, which is likely designed to be worn properly centred. As for it covering your heart, as an iksar who's to say thats where my heart is anyway /hissss.</DIV>

If you want to see what the gi looks like, check out an ogre in the inner circle portion of big bend. He's wearing the same thing and it's HORRIBLE.

<P>It's all about character texture resolution. If your computer can't support it, you get this (image below). If it can, you get the 2nd image down. They still could improve it I think, although I'm not sure how.</P> <P><IMG src="http://chrisdanek.com/eq/armor5.jpg"></P> <P> </P> <P><IMG src="http://chrisdanek.com/eq/armor6.jpg"></P>

<DIV>Mine looks exactly like #2. Character texture extreme quality etc. Black "stripes" with iron buttons are [Removed for Content]. They are somehow stretched-out and flashy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Of course, I /bug it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EDIT- kindda noticed, your pant stripes are FUBARed too, but not flashy like mine. Or you thought they SHOULD twist like that? Its HORRIBLE man cmon... Now image it flashing like an electric storm or sumtin... yeah feel me pain... Oh and me butt cheecks get stabbed by back stripes too... ouch</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You wanted a Bruiser motto? <DIV>I like the graphic, just not the resolution of the texture. Its cool offcentered, but at least make it so we can tell it isn't just a graphics "oops"<BR><BR><BR>Bruisers don't need to be fixed BTW, just their graphics/fun skills </DIV>

<DIV>Your show the difference between ultra ultra low detail, and max detail.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The thing is, at 'High' detail, the legs, look high resolution, the iksar scales are incredibly detailed, and the chestwrap... its blocky and low res. Even at Extreme detail the chest is not as high resolution as the rest of the character, or as other classes armor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Even at 'Medium' textures the legs and flesh/scales look good, but the chestwrap gets even worse.</DIV>

Running in High and the rest of the models and textures look fantastic. It's was just a lazy dev who didn't want to take the time to make it look as good as some of the other stuff in the game. bleh

But I think I didnt mention anything bout them skills. If GRAPHICS/ANIMATIONS are broken/suck, they should be FIXED/BEEFED. End of that story. And yes, on that department, we do suck. I feel like were the "frankenstein" of the classes, composed of spare parts from other subjects. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Unfinished / Rushed. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So ok SOE youre not focusing on any PVP, ye wanna "polish" (lol) the PVE and all that crap... I take yer word. But DO sumtin. If you force me to play with WOWish-resolution armor, man I rather play WOW all the way. At least everybody there will look as bad as me! Not a treat... I came to this game never having played EQ or beta in my life, said godbye to ALL my RL friends that went to WOW, just because of the BEEFY graphics and cause my fave fantasy race all-time beign ogers... If you dont give me AT LEAST what you promised me, youre forcing my way out.... you DID promise me a world with no flashy-FUBARED pants & harness...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And no I wont change class cuz the Bruisa concept ROCKS and I will continue fighting for its developement and tweaking till some justice is done, or till I leave the game that is. <DIV>Some research done. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First Ill focus on the pants & black leather stripes. If you make yer toon do the /attention emote, youll notice they shrink to a size that would be acceptable, it actually looks ok. The way it was meant to be. Youll notice yer toon goes back to relaxed position, and then the black stripes grow large and deform. I got some screenies in my character screenshot gallery, uploaded, but dont seem to be able to post em. Here are sum links anywayz:</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115013" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115013</A></DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115061" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115061</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Next, the chest-piece. As far as ogers go, the harness misteriously pierces our armpits!! It is very visible while playing, and a pain. check it out.<A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115062" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115062</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Finally, me butt cheek. Its getting violently pierced by some stripes too. It hurts most of the time. </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115067" target=_blank>http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/image_view.vm?imageId=115067</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Keep in mind this is MAXIMUM character resolution here... and have checked ALL resolutions. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have also noticed small females get a more neat look, and their pants seem almost ok (couldnt confirm though). We biggies are in pain... Those are the facts. </DIV>

<DIV>And to me the reasoning that the little shield is "off center" is because it is on the Bruiser's left side, thus protecting their heart. Makes sense, right?</DIV>
