You are absolutely right. Personally, I go for AGI, STR, STA (in that order) but other opinions may vary.

Generally speaking, most people either go str/sta first or second depending on whether yuou prefer more HP or DPS, I go Wisdom third, for the resists. Agility is a stat that does not have a whole lot of effect on monks, with that said it does give a bit of an avoidance increase. However if you want to get avoidnance increases, go for items with +parry, +deflection, +defence. This works well for me, however with that said I prefer to dps with tanking as secondary. If you prefer to tank ou may want to go with stamina 1 or sta/str equal. But even with my str way above my stamina I am still able to tank most game content, except top end zones such as DT and what not, but that is more less because of damage spikes, and group aggro control (which is a bit better with AA taunt), My HP raid buffed is close to most tanks tha I have raided with.

Personally i go for Sta then Str then Wis/Agi i class as a joint third.

Str is easy to get and even easier to get it buffed on you from others in grp/raid up to the point of dominishing returns. Im onormally at 800+ str in a raid setup and see no reason to try max it even more when already well into the dinishing returns. However I can never have to much sta and all extra HP is always gratefully recieved. Currently around 8.8 - 9.1k HP self buffed depending what gear im in and the extra HP makes life easier for sure.

Agi is a little better now but still a little ble and wisdom is also ok ok raids but nothing great for normal solo/grp play imo

Last time I checked my numbers, around when I dinged 68, I was getting roughly .033% evade per point of agility. +defense was giving me about .072% evade per point, and +deflect was giving me about .16% evade per point. I didn't have any +parry gear at the time, but dirge parry song usually gives me between 5% and 7%- I don't have those numbers right in front of me.I do a lot of tanking, so I go Str/Sta/Wis/Agi/Int. When I started re-gearing after hitting the mit-lag point with 62 mastercrafted, I dropped a lot of my agi gear and went for mit, str, and sta, as well as gear with +deflect and parry. Over all, I've come out with higher evade by a few percent, and tons of hp ahead. If you're more of a DPSer, I've seen it recommended that you go for Str/Sta/Int, though I've also seen some posts around the forums lately that int is completely and utterly useless, and does not impact monk proc damage. I don't know much about this myself, and my int's so bloody low that I cba to get gear to parse.Edited to add: As far as resists and wis go, I find it more useful in 60+ content, where mobs are starting to break out some of their more interesting tricks. It's nice to be able to resist damage shields, when you're trying to keep hate by whaling on the mob as hard and fast as possible. Boosting any one resist will get you better returns, but +wis raises all of them (about +2.3 to everything when I last ran the numbers- my wis was rather lower then). What really got me sold on wis was doing the gremlins in Loping Plains. Little buggers have some dots that were really tearing through me at the time. The way I look at it, boosting your mit vs spell damage is as important as boosting your mit versus physical damage once you're getting into things that will cast at you regularly. It's less damage you're taking and less hate you're having to keep off the healers.

Message Edited by Quind on 01-25-2007 01:43 AM

I've just dinged 50, and I'd say Strength first (for power and damage output) and Intelligence last (don't really need it as a Monk).

Up until recently I'd have put Sta and Agi on about an equal par above wisdom, but since reaching the Sinking Sands resists seem to be becoming more of an issue, so Wis is becoming more important now. My recommendation then is Str, Sta, Wis, Agi, Int in that order.
