Monk/druid/coercer would be my favorite, especially with a warden (primal instinct + def stance + everburning blaze + coercer buff = ton of haste/dps, and more avoid/mitigation without losing anything).Monk/fury/necro may burn mobs faster though.

I have a Monk/warden/Ranger

if i had to do it again it'd be Monk/Warden/Wiz

Fury's have a hard time healing fast enough for even con heroic mobs.

no warlock because tooo much aoe aggro

ranger has served me well.

Depends on what you want to do...

But in most circumstances:

Monk/Swashy/Warden would get places fast, kill fast, and take on stuff full groups might have trouble with.

Warden for the top notch healing and super AA run speed boost.

Swashy for smuggle and great dps.

You didnt mention if you were 3 boxing or not, so I will assume not. The Monk/druid/scout (swash) would probably be your best bet. I 3 box a monk/fury/warlock and can eat throw mobs quickly, but wish I could play a scout class 3 boxing but its just too much with sneak and flanked attacks, etc.

I you are 3 boxing, I would recommend a dirge on af. Unless you have some really great macros/botting program you're not gonna be able to play the 3rd character to anywhere near its utmost, so go for the class that offers the most utility for melee fighters - aka Dirge. This will allow you more time to concentrate on tanking/dps (monk) and healing/dps(fury ftw here).

I 3 box (on 2 computers (dual core ftw)) a 70 monk, dirge, fury. I play monk with mouse on 1 comp and dirge/ fury with the keyboard using my left hand. I can take on most anything but HoF (debuffs) and names w AE knockback (adds) or 20+ sec AE stuns and the like are interesting. The monk and dirge are up to 90+AA and the monk especially is way past fully fabled (2 pieces of EoF class fabled already). I might be able to box HoF now if im really on the ball. Just debuff on pull, start CoB, and switch to healer for cures/ HoT, que both big nukes, switch back with regens ticking to land big hits/ renew debuffs, rinse repeat. Also, always shut off stoneskin to train. The stonskin, +31%DPS, +49 parry, regen (never run out of power), 40%hate and Cacophany of Blades make a hasted monk do wicked dps plus after the debuffs land the mobs stop hitting monk anyway.

If you are really up for adventure:

monk/ dirge/ necro (w/ maxed heal AA) but adds will be a problem

Sangoh/ Kagomay/ Kittie

Mistmoore, LoTM

Edit: can't spell and added reasons a dirge owns

Message Edited by Kitty006 on 01-22-2007 10:37 AM

I use monk, warden, and conjuror. The conj gives pretty decent dps without pulling aggro (as long as I don't aoe much) as well as mit, shards, and pet sacs for long fights (coh is a nice bonus too). With these three, I can manage everything but nizara and mistmoore castle.

It's probably worth mentioning that I use one computer to box so if you're using two or three you might get better results with a third class that's less involved.

I always thought Mystics were the best healer for monks, so this is interesting reading

I would have gone Monk/Mystic/Conj and concentrated on the Monk's CAs. Use the Mystic's wards/heals and position the mob to get the best from Conj scout pet and hitting the odd nuke or macro's series of nukes

If you are definitely going with monk as your main character, then i'd grab a mystic healer. Not only for the wards / avoidance tank theory that everyone sweats, but because they can precast a ward before the encounter begins. When you're boxing this is a big advantage in my oppinion. I've got a few different trios with different tanks and different healers. So far i've tried Fury, Defiler, Inquisitor and Mystic. I prefer clerics and shamans do to their ability to cast a self sufficient 30 second heal basically (wards / reactives). This gives me a lot more time at the start of an encounter to gain agro with tank and start DPSing with my dps toon. For your DPS box i'd go with a sorcerer. Both for their ports and ease of DPS. No need to position or face the mob. Just fire and forget. With a monk tank i'd go with a wizard since it will be easier to hold agro against single target DPS. I use a warlock with my Zerker and / or SK and have mostly no problem holding agro with them. Only time i lose it really is if i'm not caring.Another great part of mystic is you can get a 50% SoW with AAs. My new Monk / Wizard / Mystic trio is only lvl 13 atm and i am already only one point away from maxing it. It's very easy to get (8 aa's total i think.) With wizard and mystic i can't see a good reason to go with a druid healer. I tried a fury and i just think they require a little to much attention to heal, plus like i mentioned earlier, they have no real comparison to the 30 second ward / reactive. I hear a warden is a bit better at healing than fury, but with the SoW from mystic and ports from wizard, i don't see a big reason to go with warden.I can see going with a bard, summoner, or enchanter class. But to me that forces you into a druid healer (or accept not having ports and / or SoW.) Depending on what you pick it may detract from your DPS (ie. Bard) or maybe also require more attention to be taken advantage of (ie. enchanter.) All of these combos are attractive to me in some way, but i guess i feel the combo above gives me the best utility and fluidity when trying to play all three chars. All the combos you listed look pretty interesting, but i haven't really tried those combos so it's hard to say. If you are really interested in them then i'd say ignore everyones advice and go with what looks cool to you. As cliche as it sounds, the combo you find the most fun will be the best in the end.Come roll on Permafrost and we can box a whole group. :smileywink:

Message Edited by Snowfalls on 01-24-2007 05:28 PM

I dual box a Monk and Fury and I think its a great combo. A Coercer would be my pick for a 3rd class if I could have something else in the mix. I can see the benefits to a Monk, Warden, Wizard trio - holding aggro with the Monk is my only concern there, you'd have to learn to pace your attacks with the Wizard when facing more than one opponent.
