<DIV>I have 8 points in Eagles Talon. It states: Increases Parry of Caster by 16.8</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, assuming I have 0 parry from anything else, my parry with no stance on should be 16.8</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BUT it isnt, it is 9.6</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So my question is, how can my parry be lower than what my AA gives me ?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kato</DIV>

If somebody could please clarify that and provide us maybe with a rhough formula how to calculate the parry / defl. / def into total Avoidance (regarding the dimnishing curve). That would be awesome !CaineBladesDarathar</div>

Uh, the ability is increasing your skill. So you'll have ~17 skillpoints higher in parry than base...The actual percentage increased by this AA is dependant on how many points over base you already have, as you can get pretty high (like 455 i think?) with decreasing returns. So the first parry points extra will be worth more than the last.<div></div>

I think it's bugged. As I was about to add my 5th point, I looked at my parry value, 8.0%. I added the 5th point and still 8.0%.I logged out and back in.. Still 8.0%.

It depends on how much parry you had before.Okay, for those that are still confused between parry % and the parry skill...First off, the skill itself increases Parry... not Parry %.<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/EagleTalon.jpg">This means you have to look at your skills tab, not avoidance:<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/SkillsTab.jpg">So... here's how it works:Here's my parry skill at base<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/AvoidanceBase.jpg">Note the % is at the base 5%.<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/AvoidancePercentage.jpg">Now when I put on an item with +parry skill (just like adding a point into the AA):Here's the BP<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/PlusParry.jpg">Here's the Parry Skill<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/AvoidanceWithBoost.jpg">And here's the Percentage increase<img src="http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/raidisovinfaile/Parry/AvoidancePercentageAfter.jpg">So you can check directly to see if your parry is going up or not by checking your SKILL.Then you can see how much it's actually increasing the avoidance under the other section. Now at 8% you are already pretty high up in avoidance. It may actually require more than 2.1 or whatever extra parry skill to get a noticeable difference. It is kind of strange to not see ANY improvement at all... even a 0.X% increase is kind of strange. What is your skill before and after the increase?<div></div>
