I'm on a pvp server. Currently I do not have 2 57+DR weapons and so I've been with the str line. I decided to try mantis leap, seeing I was on a pvp server and I was not very impressed. So I used my free aa spec to go STR4/8/8/5/1 INT4/4/8. I'm very happy with it atm. However, once I get a few more crafting levels I can make my wurmslayer and I almost have enough faction for a pvp weapon. So I was thinking about what spec I should switch to. Tell me what ya'll think of these...I figured this would be real good. I put the final points in deflection seeing is that is the main monk avoidance. What's the deflection cap anyways?STA 4/4/8/5 INT 4/4/8/4/1Or I was going to go the traditionalSTA/WIS/INT 4/4/8The second would be better dps, but I think the first would be better for pvp / soloing. Would you change anything in either? Feel free to give me your input.<div></div>

<DIV>Well the 57+ DR was based off of pre LU28 data.  With pretty much everything being thrown out the window with LU28 (in particular melee damage being reduced), I'm pretty sure the 57 DR number no longer applies.  I don't have the exact numbers but dual wield melee weapon DRs were reduced by I believe 7-8% across the board (like dw Wurmslayer is now around 57 dr down from like 62.3).  Assuming my numbers are correct (or at least close), I'm thinking the dual wield DR you are now looking for is more around 52.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as setups go I'm a sucker for HP so i have WIS 4-4-8-8-1 with INT 4-4-8-1 (figured i'd throw the remaining point in parry... not the best but it was the best i had left IMO).  I'm thinking this isn't the best setup for continuous DPS, but I absolutely love Crane Flock.  If used properly you'll usually have it available for fights that matter, and it does big time DPS.  It's also a great ability to lock down an encounter agro wise.  I would personally get Crane Flock over Mantis Bolt from the STA line.  If you are intent on using the STA line, on an overall damage dealt basis you might want to consider maxing out Mantis Star for the additional stamina debuff so STA 4-8-8-1.  I havent used Mantis Star in a PVP environment, and although the effect of the STA debuff won't show up as damage, you are effectively lowering the targets overall HP which on named encounters is quite a bit of damage.</DIV>
