There isn't really much essential to know to get around the world of EverQuest...But things that may not be readily appearant in regards to being a monk:Try finding a group once you get away from the island, being with other players is the best about this game. You need a weapon to be the best you can be (There are exceptions, but by the time they effect you, you'll have heard of them) If you want to look like you fight barehanded, get some fistwraps.Monks can, and should, wear leather armour if you can find it.In the game, open up the persona window by pressing 'P', then hoover over all your statistics to get more information on what statistics effect what things, it'll be easier than us trying to tell you what they do

Oh, almost forgot (actually, I did forget, but remembered soon after :smileytongue:)There are three basic weapon styles:Dual-wieldOne-handedTwo-handedIf you want to wield two weapons, both of your weapons have to have the tag for dualwielding. (examing the weapons and they'll say). Two dualwielded weapons are for most purposes equal to a single two-handed weapon.One-handed weapons are inferior but allow you to have a shield (which monks cannot use, anyway)

I went down the STR AA line and can't have anythung in my weapon slots. My /weaponstats seems to be higher though, so not sure if this is the way to go or not ...
