<DIV>I am mainly a pvp monk and i love it. heres my situation..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At lvl 22 using the most out of my crafted gear i had an avoidance of about 70% as soon as i lvled to 23 it went down to 65%. It bothered me for a while but since i got 3 points into my wis line with parry i should be fine.. right? also i have 2 hex dolls one is str and the other is agi. should i get a nother agi to replace my srt hex doll and POSSIBLY regain 5 % avoidance? .. help me get my avoidance back ! </DIV> <DIV>also i plan on going STR and WIS for pvp what u think? parry plus damage ? hehe thanks in advance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ps. i plan on stayin at 24 though so i know my avoidance is going to decrease a lot more, but how much more?</DIV>

<DIV>Hi,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically your avoidance either hasn't changed (if your haven't increase parry/defence/deflection skill since levelling) or it's better than before. The avoidance %age is based on fighting a critter of your <STRONG>current</STRONG> lvl. So your avoidance against a lvl 22 mob would infact be at least 70% (probably more if parry/defence/deflection has risen).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There are 5 skill levels in every exp lvl, these are at 0% (getting the new lvl) 20%, 40%, 60% & 80%. If you have maxed your skill levels and are 80% of the way through to your next exp lvl, your will be the strongest you can be for that particular exp lvl.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So for example at lvl 22 and 80% to lvl 23 you had 124/124 parry - which helped give you 70% avoidance. when you levelled initially you were probably on 124/125 - which meant you actually had exactly the same avoidance (124), but it wasn't maxed at 125.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I probably haven't explained it very well, but hope it helps.</DIV>

<DIV>Also something to note is that while you would think that Agility is great for increasing your avoidance, it's not. Your stance is going to do most of your avoidance increasing for you. It takes a LOT of Agility to get a 1% increase. If you want more defensive capabilities, use AAs for things like Parry (some are better than others, do some research on the forums to see which offer you the best bang for your buck).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But as a general rule, you want 2 of the STR hex dolls and 1 STR imbued ring and 1 STA imbued ring (unless having 2 STR imbued rings allows you to proc twice as often - which I haven't seen any evidence of yet). Put lots of emphasis for your gear on STR/STA and try to get some Resists and WIS (to help with resists). INT is of very little to no importance to us, and the benefits of AGI are negligible unless you sacrifice lots of STR/STA to get gobs of AGI. So it's best to just accentuate the positive and not worry about AGI.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I get my rare crafted armor made, I go for the standard version because it has STR/STA/AGI on it. There is a version (dextrous) that has higher STR, but it has no STA (it instead has high AGI), which is necessary for tanking. I wish there was a STR/STA only version to get the higher STR, but oh well.</DIV>

<P>I guess a lot depends on whether you're in a PvE or PvP environment. Also, bear in mind that with the new combat changes coming in EoF, it might be wise to hold off buying rare armor/weapons etc until the full ramifications of those changes take place. AGI was definately a semi wasted stat due to a) the lack of extra avoidance it provides (.1% per AGI point iirc) and b) avoidance was pretty sucky against high end/yellow con mobs.</P> <P>Also, a lot depends on who your group with. If you're a tank, STA is a biggie (also some WIS is nice), but if you're DPS then STR is a biggie (especially with the new capping system in EoF.</P> <P>In the end, brawlers get their major avoidance from Defletion, Defence and Parry - so if you can get items with enhancements to these on, all the better.</P>
