View Full Version : Adept 4 decisions
<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really need your advice here. I'm currently at level 41 (42 tonight with a bit of luck <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ). I've got a bit of spare cash and a guildie has offered to make me some adept 4 skills if I provide the rares. I can probably afford around 3 at the moment, so would appreciate any advice on the best return for my (huge) investment. I tend to solo a lot so was thinking:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Charging Tiger (I seem to use this a lot).</DIV> <DIV>Spider stance in a couple of levels (I don't normally invest in stances but a fellow monk said this would pay dividends)</DIV> <DIV>Infuriating calm (and the updated group taunt later - I don't want to let people down when I am in a group)</DIV> <DIV>and going for Icy Talon Master 2 at level 44.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thoughts? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<FONT color=#cccccc>I assume you mean apprentice4 or adept3? Probably adept3. There are no adept4's.</FONT><FONT color=#cccccc> Your stances and buffs are critical imho, as is feign death. In fact, my attacks are usually the last thing I upgrade, and I consider myself a dps'ing monk.</FONT>

Starting out, you are probably best off upgrading the stance(s) you use most often. Your str/wisdom buff would be a good second choice. After that it probably depends more on what role you find yourself playing most often: solo, group tank, group dps, raid puller, etc.

<DIV><EM>Personally, I don't use the spider stance very often - but dance between offensive and defensive for maximum benefit based on my role. But other monks stance dance differently, and have different approaches to their play style.</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV><EM>With that said, I'd recommend all of your stances (play with the stances during battle to find what best suits your playstyle in how your execute and change stances) - haste buffs - self heal - and finally your stuns and stifles (this will allow them to be resisted less)</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV><EM>Good luck!</EM></DIV><p>Message Edited by JudyJudy on <span class=date_text>10-13-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:06 AM</span>
