I think the proc rate is what what changes by +1% per added point.

yeah its 8% max but my issue with this ability is, it seems only to proc from autoattacks. Can anybody confirm this ?

Crane Twirl goes up in damage and +1% as you rank it up. I don't have the inbetween steps for the damage, but at rank 8 with max str it's 8% chance for 375-626 damage.

I had now the patience to go through my comabt logs and it indeed procs only from autoattacks and has a very small AOE radius. I respeced and maxed the INT / crit line which also procs from CAs (but not AOE ofc) and im much happier with this line as my damage goes through the roof now :smileyvery-happy:

I don't understand the WIS line thing. Seems like A LOT of AA's for a mere 8% proc of 220-367 dmg. My Calamties are 5% and I'm lucky if they even go off in a fight, Mantis Star is 24% and same thing lucky if it goes off at all.

I think it's because Monks are lacking in AoE attacks and this gives us 1) an extra AoE and 2) a chance to proc more AoE damage.

If you're already going Int and Sta, I'm not sure how much more you'll get from the 16 points you're putting in Wisdom elsewhere. You could get some extra deflection and parry, I guess.

-Scrappy

Yeah right now the extra points are in STR and def, but I think I'm at my STR point cap already so I'm thinking about moving those into def and parry.

Is the Crane Twirl proc encounter or true AoE? How about Crane Sweep? I just realized it would be bad if these were true AoE and went off in one of the places you fight amongst a bunch of non aggros.

Wow, that's awful. You don't even get to choose to use Twirl...

You can turn it on and off like a buff that does not take concentration. I respecced to it last night out of curiosity and am really underwhelmed so far. With how little it actually goes off, I think I am further ahead with the extra avoidance i had from putting 8 points into the 4th boxes of sta and int. I'll stick with with it a bit longer, but 500 extra damage per fight really does not seem to be worth losing 6% gross avoidance. Then again, with how jacked avoidance is, who knows

Well thats great info eventually we get all the varients i will now definaly respec and forget about the wis line. Though not sure to finish the Int line as I mostly just solo or to skip the end Int one and put the eight points into a defensive AA. Once again many thanks!
