<DIV>I'm thinking of making Fd/X part of my normal attack chain to prevent taking agro when I am not the MT.  Anyone else doing that (or am I the last one)?  Any problems with just going into an all out offensive stance/burning flames and doing as much dps as possible, but breaking it up with an FD every attack cycle?<BR></DIV>

<DIV>If the tank has any skill at all you should'nt have an agro issue, I assume you dont keep storm advance on?</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Lol Storm advance off (except when I'm asleep at the keyboard).  Actually it is a problem with quite a few good tanks I know (Brawlers and Pallys are the exception).  Group makeup can make a huge difference, but I'm seldom have an 'ideal' group when just doing an instance with some Guildies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes, the MT can get agro back, but he should be protecting the squishies, not me.  I'm certainly not Uber, and I've seen other brawlers told to stop taking agro, so I know I'm not the only one that has this problem.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV>

1. Don't massively queue all your specials at once at start of fight. Go slowly and with auto-attacks or debuffs at first contact2. Give MT enough time to gain more aggro than damage you can possibly make over time. Well, that's your calculation and skills of MT.3. No worries about making best DPS, they are plate tanks, they don't fall easily like leaves...er...us...<p>Message Edited by selch on <span class=date_text>09-18-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:36 PM</span>

<DIV>Yea go slow, build up, defensive stance, etc.  That works just fine.  My goal i to maximise dps without getting agro, those things work to reduce dps.  I'm wondering if using Feign Death followed up by X, mixed into my attack queue would allow me to go all out.  I guess I'll have to try it and see if it works.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

FD in combat of group does not take aggro off you. It just suspends until tank gain more aggro than yours, if not, as soon as you stand up, mob will turn back at you.

<DIV>Selch is right.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only reason that FD/X as part of your normal sequence would reduce your hate would be that it would slow you down a bit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Save FD for when the mob actually turns on you.</DIV>
