Anyone else? Just wondering since I was told by some guys on the Nagafen sever that I was the first Monk they have seen tank relic. I know there has to be some on blue servers that tank it on a regular basis.
i have ended up tanking many of the named in lab, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. its not impossible if you know how and you've got a good team of healers behind you

If you back thru our main page updates a few months back artofwar you will see us 8 manning relic runs in Lab with me tanking. Avoidance is not what it should be to me or we would really tank so much better than we do. I have tanked 3 princes as well.

Bruisers are better than us tho it seems atm even tho we are supposed to be the defensive tank. Crazy eh? Claymore gear will help you alot if you have not finished those quests.

I was tanking trash mobs in Labs last night.

We had 8 people total and had about 4 deaths, just did the mobs before the 2 named

I have mostly excarnate gear and no relic yet. Level 70 and 50 Ap in the Wis 5/4/8/8 and Int 4/4/8/8 lines

I figure with a full raid I could tank almost all of the non named mobs. would be interesting to try but we have a Guardian MT so he gets to do all the tanking and I DPS like crazy

Cheers

Knight Captain Karakka

Lucan DLere

Those who say they tank, can you please also post Swing / Hit values of parses?Just curious, if you were doing mitigation tanking or avoidance tanking...
Message Edited by selch on 09-09-2006 09:24 PM

I frequently tank trash in labs. Goes about the same as when anyone except our primary MT (full-fabled guard) tanks. As you'd expect, there are some more damage spikes when I tank than when a zerker or pally tanks. I agree with the statement above that avoidance isn't what you'd want, but it's workable right now.
