<DIV>I recently returned to the game and have started a Monk, but I wasnt sure what tradeskill to go with. Six months ago when I played, I was heavily biased towards Provisioner given that food/drink is a "consumable" item, and I could buy other "permanent" items like armor, weapons, etc. Food and drink were also quite costly at times.</DIV> <DIV>However, I was perusing the broker and noticed that food/drink seem cheaper now, probably due to tradeskill and harvesting changes. Then again, many things seem cheaper.</DIV> <DIV>I was leaning towards Alchemist because I think I could use my own potions and create my own CAs? Everything else I would use (weapons, armor, jewelry) can be found or quested for relatively easily, no?</DIV> <DIV>Hoping for some insight from the experience monks out there. Thanks!</DIV>

<P>Alchemist is a good choice for the reasons you suggested. </P> <P> </P> <P>I went with a Tailor and have been very happy with my ability to sell cloth and leather armor, hex dolls, backpacks, and thrown weapon pouches. It has not made me as rich as my Armorer did pre revamp, but it supplies me with plenty of coin to keep crafting (and isn't that really the whole point?)</P>

Jeweler has treated me pretty well.  While the common crafted stuff does not sell so well these days, it is nice to be able to make your own rare-crafted (same with tailor) stuff to equip and scout adept IIIs by commission (similar to an alchy except you do not make your own).
