<DIV>So glad to be back in the monk community after a long break. I played a monk to 45 on a PvE server and guild decided to come back and play EQ2 PvP on Nag. I don't have many questions on leveling up a monk again and seem to have figured out the major changes except AA. What the heck is AA? How do I get them? Is this similiar to talents in WoW? Not much else seems to have changed besides another 20 lvls to grind and skills.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When I left there was the big mitigation vs avoidance battle going on about tanking and I tanked every night for 45 levels back in the day and had no problems.. has anything changed relative to avoidance vs mitigation in the last year or so?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks and good to be back!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Khar</DIV>

Once you hit level 20 you can start earning AA. You earn AA by: 1. Discovering new areas 2. Killed named mobs (not all will give credit) 3. Completing quests that are blue or harder (and non-repeatable) and 4. Looting treasures for the first time that are new to you (typically vendor-trash type items).Welcome back!-prod</div>

And this was just recently. They were having difficulties because this is supposed to be a brawler fix. Would do little good if plate tanks got boosted by them fixing our deficiency. Does anyone know where I may have read that?</P> <P>Seems to me that both brawlers could have an ability that enhances our avoidance, like it would have to got through 3 avoidance checks before applying the damage.<BR></P>

<DIV>Heya Gaige!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can you elaborate on that? Is that some Dev posted info somewhere? Is it specific to brawlers? That kind of stuff.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah here,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> <HR> For Melee Damage: </DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV><EM>Mob tries to hit you...</EM></DIV> <DIV><EM></EM> </DIV> <DIV><EM>1. Sounds like 67.3 / 3x100 actual avoidance is... What I'm telling it is not like total avoidance taking into account of hits, little bits of it which over come that might pass each of them and if you are not facing the mob, deflection is also out of question.<p>Message Edited by selch on <span class=date_text>08-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:51 PM</span>
