<DIV>I am going to start up a monk and I really like crafting and keeping it up with my level. But I want to choose a profession that can assist me and my friend that is playing who is going to be a healer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was thinking Weaponsmith, but I am not sure if I use wood weapons like staves or what. Then I was also thinking Tailor but I want my profession to make money and the tailor description says that it creates fancy clothing too and to me that sounds like a waste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any advice?</DIV>

Seems to me like there are more and more alchemists these days. So many in fact, that it is very difficult to sell spells and potions. I don't see half as many woodworkers as I do alchemists.. and woodworker totems are very nice indeed.... so perhaps try that path.

<DIV>As a woodworker would I still be able to make myself usefull items? I'd imagine I can craft myself staves to use. Do woodworkers only craft totems, staves, bows and arrows?</DIV>

As a tailor, I don't think I did more than 4 sets for me , so does not worth the shot...Actually, as others say, Alchemist OR Provisioner, both will do your consumables... Actually Provisioner yet better you will use drinks & food everytime...

Carpenter ftw! (at least if you want a profession where you'll have absolutely no doubt as to what practical purpose your stuff serves :smileytongue: )

<P>My main is a woodworker and at the moment I make weapons, ammo and totems for my monk. It makes it a lot easier. But somethimes you can get better weapons dropped than what you make.</P> <P>As a woodworker you do make a decent amount on ammo, totems and harvesting tools. Not enough to make you rich but enoughto have a 5 br house paid every week.</P>

<div></div>id say prov is very useful my alt profession is lvl 63 prov and i couldnt live with out the food and drinks, sure the potions are nice but if i had to re roll i would have to be a prov again i think. my monks a mid 30's woodworker and tbh so far i have found very little use for any of the items he can make.. totem of the otter was ok for water breathing if youre doing solo quests that require you to swim/dive down deep.<div></div><p>Message Edited by ArcticBlue182 on <span class=date_text>08-15-2006</span> <span class=time_text>10:04 AM</span>

well i started woodworking very late on, i was already plus 60 (now 70).. but going on what i have seen while lvl'ing the woodworker skill there would be very little use for say 95% of the things i can craft, and since they nerfed the stats on player made items (weps/armor) you can usually get better items from drops or quests, this is definitly the case when you hit lvl 60where as with the provisioner skill you can use everything you make no matter what level you are in either skill, if i had known more about crafting back then i would have chosen the alchemist skill for the potion buffs.<div></div>
