<DIV>The herald of Quellious. That's good enough for me. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I actually completely disagree.  I think Makoto is a *terrible* choice to be the Herald of Quellious.  Makoto is a Silentfist.  The Silentfists are agnostic.  Makoto was *not* a follower of Quellious.  They should have chosen a monk of the Ashen Order for this role.

He does feel a bit off by being the "chosen" one.  If you go through the chat with him he feels as if he has no idea why he was chosen to be the one that Quellious is speaking to.  There must be a reason i'm sure?<div></div>

<DIV>He himself even acknowledges that he was given the honor of being Quellious' herald, but he doesn't agree that he deserves such an honor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Besides. You just absolutly *KNOW* that he's not religious, huh?</DIV>

Well, in EQ1 you had the Ashen Order (Quellious, good), the Silent Fist Clan (Agnostic/Veeshan, neutral) and the Swifttail Caste (Cazic-Thule, evil), so lore-wise an Ashen Order monk would be more appropriate.  On the flip side, though, who better to send in to get worshippers than one of their own, especially considering that you can't start out as a member of the Ashen Order?

<FONT size=2> <P>The reason why Quellious chose Makoto might lie within the Mediation quest in the adventure pack. When you are debating with the Ashen Order envoy, the text used to convince him basically boils down to that they need to repair the riff between the Order and the Disciples before they would be fit candidates for joining the Whistling Fists.</P> <P>Why would the Goddess of Tranquility/Peace pick a mortal representative from a clan that is fighting with itself?</P></FONT>

There are only gonna be nine gods available initially.  Whether or not more become available in the future remains to be seen.
