gettin pretty deep in my AAs and now that I have exiled i need to make a choice about something.(no respecs in exiles) Im deciding weather to go for 8 extra points into parry and deflection or go down the wisdom line insted. How much added avoidance do those lines add? is it enough to counter the loss of dps?<div></div>

<DIV>it's not a lot of total avoidance but rather different types of avoidance for each saving roll. with your average legendary drop stuff in t7 you can still crank out decent dps. i geared my monk more towards both dps and tanking that way i can effectively fill either roll. i maxed parry since it's the hardest for us to raise by ourselves and put 5 points into deflection and with average legendary gear i'm sittin around 405 deflection (cap is 420). If i remember right i think each point gave me around .3 % total avoidance. i think if i was on pvp i'd do the total dps thing and go the 444str/444wis/444int line because avoidance comes almost naturally with your stances and gear stats. between parry and deflection though i'd raise parry with AA's but that's just me. one other thing to give you an idea: my current avoidance is around 74% give or take in full defense.still got a ways to go but most of the crap i'm wearing is the easy to obtain legendary stuff and i'm towards the end of the claymore quest line in poa.</DIV>

I'm thinking that I mgiht go:4/4/8/4 Stamina for the proc and the nice debuff. Also some added deflection for more avoidance4/1 Wisdom, the wisdom is nice for resistances and the AOE knockback is great for pvp4/4/8/8 The added chance to crit is a nice and im going for some more parry to add more avoidanceI realized that my dps is still nice I started wondering how much use the proc would do in pvp. At this poitn im not 100% sure if im going to go down the wisdom line for that one point and i might jsut go for the parry/deflection. I'm gonna save up some points before i do anything that I will regret tho. <div></div>

Originally I went full bare fist fighting before I got enough points to go for the superman buff because untill then you just need to make things die. You can tank well and the double attack really helps but only untill you've got enough aa points.I'm at Sta 4/4/4/4 - Mantis star is good, on a normal mob it drops HP by about 1kish, that was around level 55 when I did it.. I'm not sure what it does now or on a player but its a very quick way to do alot of damage to someone even though it doesnt show, you'll know when its hit. Mantis bolt is ok I suppose and at 12% you'd definately consider it on a weapon thats for sure but in pvp fights don't last long enough to make use of it, don't rely on it and just count yourself lucky if it saves you.Wisdom 4/1 - I use a staff most of the time, strifewing bow can hit for almost 1k auto attack. I have 6.4k health, go figure. Granted it doesn't always hit that hard but the high damage is nice and very good for pve. Easy to get aswell. The aoe is crap damage but the stun that is attached is very useful. Lure a group up onto a ledge in KoS and aoe them, you're getting beat on or your healer is dying. Aoe knock back gives the healer that little bit more time to recover. The one minute recast on it sucks I agree. Also adds another way to hold aggro on group mobs. 8hits proc buff, aoe knockdown, cresent strike (other aoe) and you've as good as got aggro.Intelligence 4/4/8/4/1 - Melee crit and then 1400mit/75% melee crit chance again is very good, really turns the fight. Add that onto your avoidance, once you're down to about 30% (in solo fights not often due to not being hit much by melee classes) people just can't hit you and when they do it doesn't hurt to much.Personally for PvP I'd stack against melee classes, your ward will do what it needs to do against caster classes. You've got a 6 second stiffle and 3 stuns with the aoe. Though I'd still have a good set of resist gears primarily against noxious due to there being more fps and scouts poison.Try buff deflection first as most scouts high damage attacks are positional, namely behind you and deflection covers that. I can't begin to count the times I've deflected/parried decapitate and watched the scout attempt to run away.I open my fights with:Mantis starPunishing CobraStunFreezing PalmThe rest is button bashing.Oh and for the love of god remember to switch off your haste buff when you're properly snared / running away / well out of range. That thing has taken more HPs than most the fps I'd say.<div></div>
