<div></div><div></div><div><font color="#99cccc">I know there has been alot of threads about this, but alot of them get side tracked or don't answer my question fully. I prefer to use my monk as an assist tank/dps due to personal preference and RL issues. So what are the lines I should invest in for max dps. I was just in a few group this week that were using the parsing (?) thing and was shocked at the dps I had... I thought I was a little better than what I was doing, There where a few pure dps classes involved, but I was coming in at about 3rd-4th in the group average... Is that about right? So I know I'm not going to out dps these classes but what can I do to get my numbers up? Right now I have gone Str and Wis (I liked the crane sweep that the wiz line gave, and I prefer a Bo) but I can change that... </font></div><div><font color="#99cccc"></font> </div><div><font color="#99cccc">(and should I upgrade my FBSS for better stats or keep it for the haste? Im 62 atm.)</font></div><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by FlowerFist on <span class="date_text">04-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:05 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>If you don't have access to DW weapons with a 60 DR or 2HB ones with a 108 DR+, STR line is probably your best bet... 4/4/8 in STR gets you a pretty good amount of DPS once you drop your weapons for your fists. I also went into my INT line 4/4/8/4/8 to maximize my crit potential and if you play well, know the mobs you are going against and aren't tanking AND people don't get the nervous twitch to heal you Eagle Shriek puts up some pretty numbers. Just watch out for aggro =)</p><p> </p><p>If you are curious, as a monk in a non DPS group in a raid I could hit anywhere from 600 to 1.2k DPS depending on many factors IE was it an x3 or x4 epic, was it yelllow or white con, how many people were actually debuffing, etc.</p>

<div></div><div>you said you are only lvl 62, so unsure as to exactly how many AA points you have to spread around...</div><div> </div><div>first off you said you were going Str / Wis, and liked having a bo staff. if you are going to go further into the Str line than just the +str stat bonus, you will have to give up weapons entirely for that to be beneficial, if you cant bear to go weponless, then dont do the Str line at all. i have at this point tried every AA line except Agi (no point)...i actually made a post with some parses a few weeks ago about the Str line where i said i did not think it was worth the AA points spent for the dps increase, but in recent times i have been called upon more and more to be DPS rather than a tank, and currently my setup is 448 str, 448 int, and right now i am going to try that in combination with 448 wis when i get a few more AA's, if that sucks then 448 sta ftw. I agree with everything said above ( Str line = more dps untill you can get 2x fabled t7 DW's or a fabled 2 hander with 108 ish DR) but in addition to that i would like to add something that might get overlooked alot, something i missed out on with my first go around with the STR line. Ranged DPS ... the Str line double attack will also apply to your ranged combat as long as you dont have any mellee wepons equipped, this in combination with the fact that T7 ammo is now available on vendors (eldar grove bow shop, or QH betweent the docks and CV) can make you a VERY formidable ranged fighter, IF you buy a t7 rare ranged wep (mostly only important if you raid) in a 24 man raid last night (not all 70's but several of them, and then a bunch of high 60's) with 448 str / int (100% haste, ~50% dps mod) ... i was one of the top the 3 dps every single fight, including the ranged fights, to drive that point home even further, there were several times when i turned off ranged attack for 5-10 sec until my name dropped a spot or two on my parse list...i did this because i actually did manage to pull aggro off the MA once with only ranged autoattack. now for the bad news...you might have heard ranger gripe about "paying for dps" in the past, well, one run thruogh lab and i used well over 1.5p in Adamantine Shurikens (~7g per stack of 99) because double attacking with ranged also means that you throw pieces of ammo at a time instead of one</div>

I'll vouch for the Ranged DPS with STR line double attack. Its pretty solid but obviously expensive =)<div></div>

<div></div><p><font color="#99cccc">So Str/Int? I don't mind dropping my weapons, and its pretty positive I will not have a fabled weaopn, so I don't mind at all. I'm just trying to set up to get the most bang out of my buck... well bang out of my aa's if I'm not going to tank.</font></p>

I was thinking for DPS it would be best to go with <span>4-4-8 STR / 4-4-8 STA / 4-4-8 INT. Just an opinion.Masuimi</span><div></div>

<div></div><p>For DPS</p><p>INT 4/4/8 is a must. I'm at 4/4/5 and I crit constantly. I am #1 or 2 on DPS every time and I'm not even trying</p>

Yeah but I was referring to having all three lines as I had suggested. Even having all three that I suggested you would come out dishing out a great amount of DPS. =)Masuimi<div></div>
