I am a level 49 monk, about 80% from 50, and I have started to wonder what I should buy, when we are talkiing about equipment. I don't want to spend alot of money on something bad, which no one wants I guess. My current setup is this one <a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=392144201" target="_blank">RYODAN</a>From Head to feet is right, armor wise. The neck is a little different I think, and the feet too. Anyway, I am looking for something else, when I ding 50, but don't know what. Should I go with the ordinary best mitigation on broker way, or should I try and do quests? Maybe go raid or kill named mobs? I am not the richest of the all(have around 1p 50g at the moment) and just one set of lvl 50 equipment costs 1p on the broker. Maybe there are cheaper ways? Now when I am at it too. I heard someone talking about getting a monk specific skill, that you only can get through the adventure pack bloodline chronicles. Maybe I am to high level right now, maybe not. But is that right, and if so, how do I get it/them? Just finish it the d'morte quest?I have been searching for equipment threads but havn't been successful at all, so I appreciate all the help I can get.<div></div>

<div>I am facing the same problem. Currently sporting a full set of T5 player made legendary items but with T6 costing over 1p per item i cannot afford them. There seems no point in upgrading my armour to regular T6 pristine leather as i actually drop stats but maybe pick up some mitigation.</div><div> </div><div>Not much help i know but i have found no way around the problem accept for harvesting the rares i need for the armour and then finding a tailor who will make the items up for me. I have spent money on a T6 legendary weapon however (Imbued Iromwood Bo Staff - 2HB) so atleast i will be hitting for harder although dropping  6 STR but gaining 15 STA over my DW current which i feel is a fair trade off as i rarely run out of PWR when soloing and use decent drink.</div><div> </div><div>I look forward to see if anyone has any other suggestions.</div><div> </div><div>The skill you refer to is Devestating Fist and can only be bought from a broker in Nek when you have the appropriate faction gained from doing a number of Bloddline Chronicle quests. It is a % chance of an instant kill on ordinary (non epic) mobs with a 3min cool down i think (off the top of my head so may not be totally correct <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ).</div>

<div>I'd suggest the same guys, get out and get harvesting rares in the sands. Honestly, if you have augmented armor scaled is a worthwhile upgrade but the difference won't make or break you. I harvested all the pelts for my armor (and made it myself as I'm a tailor), but I was already level 58 by the time I got my final piece of augmented replaced. Get yourself an ironwood or two for some imbued weapons, and harvest those stones too, use the vanadium for jewelry and the pearl to get your adept 3's made.</div><div> </div><div>If you contact a tailor/jeweler/alchemist directly and work out an agreement for your armor/jewelry/skills, and let them know you'll bring all your work for the tier to them and provide the rare raws (and maybe even some of the common raws) you should be able to get the whole suit of armor for around a plat, a whole set of jewelry for about the same, and a decent price on the skills.</div><div> </div><div>Don't forget that the loams from making the skills also produce some nice rare potions or poisons, so either make sure you get some potions back as part of the deal on your skills, or that you're getting a discount on them since the alchy will be able to make some potions/posions to sell from your rare.</div><div> </div><div>Oh, and hurry, cuz all this will change when they revamp T6 tradeskills to the new format that they're using for T7.</div>

<div>If you can't afford to upgrade all pieces to Scaled then do the following.</div><div> </div><div>Pick either...</div><div> </div><div>1.  A piece that gives the greatest increase in mitigation and/or hps.</div><div> </div><div>Or</div><div> </div><div>2.  A piece that gives the greatest increase in strength or stamina.</div><div> </div><div>Then...</div><div> </div><div>If a pieces doesn't generally have good stats for a monk (Hat I think in T6 has Wis and Int?) then upgrade that to the common crafted if it is a mitigation and/or HP boost.  At this point it doesn't matter if the stats are worse, the overall benefit of Mitigation and HPS is far far greater.</div><div> </div><div>Personally I would willingly sacrifice Int, Agi and Wis for greater mitigation and/or HPS.</div><div> </div><div>Using that strategy you gain the most benefit possible piece by piece if you cannot afford to upgrade it all at once.</div><div> </div><div>Regards,</div><div>Croaker</div>

a lot of factor will and do contribute into what you may or may not want. What type of stats etc your wanting. What type of monk that you are and your play style. You can take a look at my profile and maybe get some ideas of what you may be in the market for. Bout the best I can do atm for you from work. =) I'm going totally STR & mitigation with my gear and jewelery. Take a peek if you'd like.MasuimiProfile -> <a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=336593203" target="_blank">http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=336593203</a><div></div>
