<div></div><div><p><font face="Verdana" color="#ffffff" size="2">I remember LU13 when the Devs said something to the effect, “Figuring out item stats shouldn’t be calculus.” Nice, so as a new Monk on a PvP server, I choose the weapon with the highest damage rating. Simple. Or not . . .</font></p><span><font face="Verdana" color="#ffffff" size="2">Do we still have to consider ‘slow’ vs ‘fast’ weapons? I see a post here about parsing the DPS slow/fast weapon. So I need to get my calculator out? /sigh</font></span></div>

<div>For the most part weapon delay doesn't have a big impact.  Go by damage rating and you are fairly good to go.</div><div> </div><div>There are a few cases where delay does matter however.</div><div> </div><div>Damage shields.  Faster weapons don't proc more but you'll take an arseload more damage from damage shields.</div><div> </div><div>Skills that have a 100% chance to proc.  Dirges Cacophony and Storming Palm for example.  The faster the weapon the faster you'll do the damage, and in the case of Cacophony the more procs you will have.</div><div> </div><div>Basically anything less than 100% chance to proc will normalize to a weapon with 3 sec delay.</div><div> </div><div>Oh crits don't normalize, since damage is scaled to the weapon anyways, it just does its thing.</div><div> </div><div>Regards,</div><div>Croaker</div>
