<div>I use my offensive stance always unless i'm tanking? Is it more productive to always have my defensive stance on unless i'm in a group and not the MT.</div><div> </div><div>Silke</div><div>lvl 35 Monk</div>

<div></div><div>I solo almost exclusively on my monk and until I got Spider Stance in the mid-40's, I used to switch stance depending on what I was hunting. If hunting higher level things that I might have trouble hitting, would use the offensive stance to get the weapon skill buffs. If I was hunting things closer to my level and maybe heroics, I would use defense since I wasn't likely to suffer as much from the weapon skill debuff on the stance. Also, I would sometimes change in mid fight if needed. Offense to defense if I was getting hit a lot or visa versa if I was having trouble hitting the creature. I would also be interested to hear others strategies as an avid soloist.</div><div> </div><div>Mulgrew</div><div> </div>
It is situational, solo I use mostly off stance and I sometimes switch stances depending on the mob etc. Against solo greens I think def or 1/2 are more appropriate cuz u hit the green mob the same whilst u get more avoidance/mit.Experiment ur self and find out what suits u better and with what stance u got the best results.<div></div>

<div>I use offensive stance for soloing 99% of the time. Make sure to have your stance at adept III though, makes a huge difference.</div>
<div></div><div>well, at lvl 64 i'm using my balanced stance to solo a lot of the KoS mobs that are yellow/white con to me and maybe groups of blues.</div><div> </div><div>i use my def stance if i'm tanking for a small group for the extra mit/avoidance and let the others take the mob out since i'm not worried about my dps.</div><div> </div><div>my offensive stance i use if i'm fighting greens or i'm the off tank/dps of a group. having 94%haste self buffed (using fbss, and adept 3's of my off. stance and the other haste buffs) you can drop mobs pretty quickly. </div>

<div></div><em>I stance dance from my offensive and defensive based on my CA timers. While my CA's are refreshing = Defensive. When they are up = Offensive.</em>

<div>Unless you're fighting a Brawler mob, of course <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>
