I just dinged 28 and have the following stats (I am a Gnome monk so took Str hit when starting)Unbuffed:Health 1653Power 823Mit 18.8Avoid 48.9Str 71Agi 65Sta 42Int 33Wis 26Buffed (Off stance):Health 1653Power 898Mit 18.8Avoid 46.2Str 95Agi 65Sta 42Int 33Wis 62Buffed (Def stance):Health 1653Power 898Mit 22.9Avoid 54.6Str 95Agi 65Sta 42Int 33Wis 62What stats would you recommend increasing when I get to choose character trait picks and such.  I put my last choice into Sta as that was my lowest.  Not sure Int matters much.  Starting as gnome, my str took big hit but agility was high.  Should I be adding all I can to Str to get it as high as I can?<div></div>

It would be tempting to raise stam, since it's pretty low, but if you took both stam bonuses, you only get 50hp... (1sta = 5hp) not a huge bonus honestly. I took both str and don't regret it. I haven't capped my str, but it's the closest to the cap out of all my stats. My stam is pretty low, but an extra 10 is only 50hp.. And I have to say, with really high str i can be a real dps machine, which in itself has helped me more than a few more hp would have i think.I think you'd get more bang from the str cause even though it's a small increase, it affects many more things like damage and powerpool that will help more as you're leveling.<div></div>

<div></div><p>At 60 you'd be hard pressed, even with just crafted legendary gear, to not hit the str cap in good groups.</p><p>I've been both ways, but I think having high str/sta is the best bet.</p>

<div></div>Nope, still don't cap out yet. I still see benefits when adding more str. My jewelery (right side gear) isn't the greatest though, so my stats aren't as high as they should/could be. If my gear was better I'd definately be hitting the str cap more easily. But as I said, I'm still the closest to cap with str with all other stats not even close. I'm considering respecing and taking sta traits over str just to balance it out a bit more.str/sta for the win<div></div><p>Message Edited by x0rtrunks on <span class="date_text">02-06-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:27 PM</span></p>

<div></div>One question:  What is the Strength cap? 300?

The cap raises as you level with the formula 7 times your level. However, there were recent changes to skillups that after lvl 50 (i believe) you would get 1 skill up with each mini ding for a total of 10 skillups each level. But I'm not sure if this also applies to stat caps, or just to skills like defense and crushing for example. If it includes stat caps, the cap would be 350 at lvl 50, and then +10 each level until 60 for a total of 450 at level 60.If it doesn't include stat caps, the cap at 60 would simply be 420 (7x60).<div></div>

<div>If you plan to raid or plan to tank, there is absolutely no question you should go straight stamina...</div><div> </div><div>It is so ridiculously easy to max strength even in EXP groups.</div><div> </div><div>However, I have yet to come even remotely close to maxing my stamina.</div><div> </div><div>Regards,</div><div>Croaker</div>
