to get this cool piece of gi.  I tried to make it as simple as possible so even dummies like me can figure it out <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" solo that mob (36^^^), I continued to kill and evac, zone, then repeat.  I probably only killed him 15-20 times before getting my drop.  The drop varies.  Some get it right away, some wait for a 3pm just to get up to the instance where our mobs are.  Those beginning quests take some time.</strong></font></div><div><font size="3" color="#ffff99"><strong></strong></font> </div><div><div><font <div></div><p>You don't have to do any of the bloodlines solo stuff first.  You can just go straight to the waterfall camps and start there.  Of course, I wouldn't recommend skipping the content if it is your first time through.  By my third alt through, I was not averse to skipping the solo stuff <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>There was a detailed walkthrough on this posted a while back either here or in the bruiser forum.  It is probably jammed into the archives by now.</p>

Just thought that you should know, I am currently at the Research and Destroy quest (Qenos Quests) and I got the Gi drop from Nilith T'Feyd in the Tombs of Night standard instance, the only reason for staying in ToN:Retribution is so that you have 2 vampires to kill per run however it IS possible to get the Gi later on if you have passed this quest.(BTW: I got it on my first run too <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)<font color="#ffff99"><font size="3"><strong><font size="4"><b></b></font></strong></font></font><div></div>

<div></div>so far gor 2 in three runs. On the last run Nilith was not there at all so just ran out and reset the instance.I am unsure about the drop rates of this now, I have been in to the Tomb of Night (Standard instance) 5 times now, the 3 times that Nilith was in the zone he dropped the Gi 100%. The other 2 times he wasnt I just zoned in and out of The Crypt of T'haen until he spawned.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Harroguk on <span class="date_text">01-31-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:51 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><p>Harroguk, according to ogaming, the Research and Destroy quest takes place in the Tombs of Night: Retribution.  Also, you cannot zone into the crypt of Thaen unless you have completed the quests that allow you to do so (from what I have read).  I cannot zone there as I have not completed those quests.  Have you done the bloodlines expansion already?</p><p><a href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ResearchandDestroy.php" target="_blank">http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ResearchandDestroy.php</a></p><p>**edited cause I can't spell your name <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p><span class="time_text"></span> </p><p>Message Edited by Onecia on <span class="date_text">01-31-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:38 PM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><p>I don't understand how you could skip all of the beginning stuff.  I just tried to enter with a different toon and I have no access at all into the Tomb of Nights.  How can you get into the Tombs of Night without access?  Also the first access thing puts you in the Tombs of Night: Searching for Answers...are the named in there too?  Please explain. </p><p>If those names really are that much easier to get to than all the dumb little quests beforehand, it'd be nice if some of you more knowledgeable monks/bruisers would put that somewhere where us noobs can find it.  I spent a whole day working on these dumb quests.</p><p>Message Edited by Onecia on <span class="date_text">01-31-2006</span><span class="time_text">09:20 PM</span></p>

I am currently halfway through the quest sereis. I have done quite a few quests in ToN now, including killing T'haen (One mother of a Vampire) I still didnt have my Gi so figured I would try and get it of Nilith anyway.I think that OGaming is wrong about the zone because I definitley remember goingin into a zone that sait ToN:Retribution and now it doesnt say that anymore, it just says ToNBecasue of the progression into the series I dont think that is is necesserily "easier" to get to the point I have, You will definitley need a group to get this far however if you are going to do the questline anyway then I would say just wait a little bit longer before you try and farm your Gi (Until you unlock the Crypt of T'haen) so you can zone in and out quicker<div></div>

<div></div><p>Thanks Harroguk for clearing that up.  I just want to have accurate information available to people.  Now just to be clear...So you DO have to do all the beginning junk still to AT LEAST get up to the TON: Retribution?  However, you can ALSO go beyond that point to the regular TON and still get it, correct?  Is that what you're saying?</p><p>See those beginning couple of quests will put you in TON: A Search for Answers.  I'm pretty certain that those names are not in there, correct?  I know someone on here said you can skip those quests, but I still don't see how you can...can anyone explain that?</p>

<div></div>If you go straight to the camps by the waterfall, you can start the tombs of night quests without doing any of the d'morte burial chamber quests.  You need a quest from an npc in either of the camps (assume Hands of Marr if you are a monk) to enter the tombs of night.  There are still a few quests in the tombs of night that you have to do before you get the one that puts you into the 'retribution' instance, but it is still much faster than doing the three d'morte chamber quests.  Two npcs in the camp will talk to you, one offers solo or group quests, he is the wrong one.  the other, who has a few dialogue lines to click through, will offer you quests for inside the Tombs of Night.  Do his quests until you get to the one that puts you into the 'Tombs of Night: Retribution' instance, and then farm the nameds in it for the gi.
