<div>I have just turned lvl 40 and bought myself 2 Pristine Imbued Cedar staffs, very nice.  But I also noticed that I can now use Archons Great flail.  My first response to seeing this weapon was "Omg I must have it!" So... I bought it hehe.</div><div> </div><div>I am now faced with a bit of a dilemma.  I haven't yet attuned Archons because after having a long think and a good compare it seems that my dual wielders would have better damage output....</div><div> </div><div>Anyone have any advice on this who are familiar with these weapons?  Should I stick with my wielders and sell the flail?  If it's just down to preference due to the damage output being very close then I'll keep em all :smileyhappy:  But I'm not sure at the moment what would be better...  Like, does the Fabled tag on Archons flail have any impact on fighting higher lvl mobs?</div><div> </div><div>Cheers </div>

The staves will out damage the great flail plus combine they have much better stats over all and a proc.As for the fable tag making it work better on higher level mobs. I'm not sure but I can tell you with my T5 crafted I have no problems hitting even orange con mobs.<div></div>

<div></div>If you're worried about stats go with those dual wielders. The flail, well, do you like the way it looks?

And if you don't think so, ask yourself how much you would pay for a ring or braclet with 6 STR and 14 AGI. Plus the fact that this has a higher damage rating and a proc that goes off nearly once a fight while killing solo mobs and 3 to 6 times on small raid mobs.<div></div>

The only factor that "might" make the flail better is if fable items have a better chance to hit a high con mob. This is one I don't think anyone has parsed so I just don't know.EQ2 DW is not the same as EQ1. Your main and off hand swing seperate/independant.Riposte, well some say you take a little more with DW over 2HW but it's so little the offset of DPS out weighs it.Sad thing is you see this alot where a crafted item is flat out better then a fabled item on the same tier. SOE dropped the ball when they made crafted items but have plans to fix it with KoS. Basically your T7 crafted gear will only be a little better then T6 crafted gear but T7 fable items will see the same size jump over T6. This will put T7 fabled items above crafted items where they should be. I personally think this was the main reason behind SOE added 10 levels with KoS. The only other way to fix it was to nerf crafted items. And with the amount of players running around in crafted items that would flat out [Removed for Content] alot of people off. Making T6 fable items better doesn't help since mobs are built around the gear in game and if you raise it up too much your gear makes you too powerful.Yeah I know completely off topic but I'm bored today so.. <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span><div></div>

Quality doesn't have any bearing on hit rate as far as i know, and i seem to recall dev talk on the subject around the combat update.Isn't it still the case though that you'll need legendary or better to hit named mobs? Or is it treasured? Pretty sure i couldn't hit some mobs in roost with crappy treasured items.<div></div>
