Focus and non-crushing

Is there a way to raise Focus skill or does it just happen?Also I think I read that no matter what weapon we use as monks, it uses the crushing skill.  I noticed my slashing and piercing were below max.  Can I raise those or don't worry about them?<div></div>

<div></div><p>I found a super quick way to max out focus. Get some lower lvl mobs on you, then start COQ'ing/COO'ing. The mobs will be hitting you while you are casting, sometimes they will interupt you but thats kinda' what you want. Just rinse and repeat til' your at max focus.
