haste cap

ok, so last night I got a nive ring with 20% haste on it. I have 3 buffs that give me haste. Halcyon's, Zephyl and Everburning. numbers are: 31%, 35% and 13,6% (dont remember which number belongs to which buff) together: 99,6% haste I said (in raid) "with this ring I nicely cap my haste" which got me some comments about things not stacking etc etc. Well? Am I right? Or am I making a mathematical mistake somewhere? <div></div>
