<DIV>Hello all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In forethought of entering into level 30 before hopefully too much longer with my monk, I have a couple questions specific to this level range of 30 to 39.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Chiefly, what are the monk-specific armor choices, such as Gi's? I hope that there are some, as I can't remember seeing any for this tier, and haven't checked the broker much for them. I really do like the styling of the AQ gear, and want to retain that look throughout any level. Obviously, it's awesome for the look of a monk, and great brand recognition...hehe. If there are Gi's and such for this level range, where can they be found - player made, questable, or what? I'm currently working on my dwarven work boots, but outside of that I'm open to any info I can find for suiting up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Secondly, as far as dual-wield weapons go, what are some of the recommendations from you that have used them, ranging from the less expensive to higher quality drops/ crafted?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I appreciate any input from those that are in, or have been through, this range that may have insight to start steering me in the right direction with my choices.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> Thanx muchly!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div></div>Well there used to be stickies that answered a few of your questions, but the forums are in disarray atm.For armor there is leatherfoot stuff from EL and emerald hide in Zek. As well as the rare crafted stuff. If you want a gi, you'll either have to raid, or get the bloodlines chronicles adventure pack and camp for the blood drenched gi. You can also find it on the broker sometimes. I snagged one for 1plat. We don' t have a lot of choice in this area.As for weapons, go rare imbued crafted. Either dw or 2hb. You'll be looking for oak.<div></div><p>Message Edited by x0rtrunks on <span class=date_text>12-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:11 AM</span>

I'm pretty much the same level as you(just hit 31) and I manage to pick up a full set of Emerald Hide armor for under 10g. I have 5 High Quality pelts waiting for a Tailor to make into Pristine Imbued Engraved Armor for my Monk. I picked each pelt up for 6g each which one MM seemed like a good price since all others were 11g+. My only problem is I have level twice and STILL haven't been able to find a 40ish Tailor to make the items for me. ugg. Also for weapons nothing will beat a handcrafted imbued weapons except a Fable weapon. I'm using two Pristine Imbued Fist Wraps. They have a 5% chance to proc a 150 to 220 hp damage to target and believe or not they go off like crazy. Against yellow solo mobs I say atleast once a fight. I've seen as many as 3 times in one fight. I looted one High Quality Pelt and picked up another for 11g. I paid a Weaponsmith a stack of drink (which I made) to make them.At level 29 I Fiend Zombies in SH would kill me before I got them down to 80% with my old weapons and armor. At level 30 I autoattacked them and killed them before losing 20% of health (80% left). Granted my armor at L29 was a little lacking cause I have the Emerald Hide in my bank waiting BUT it wasn't that bad. Clearly these weapons and armor (plus a level doesn't hurt) made a huge difference. For the price you can't beat it. Total I spent 21g and about an hours worth of time making drink for all my armor and weapons.BTW if you don't already have it download EQ2 Item DB from www.eq2db.com<div></div>

<P>Thanx for the input guys, I appreciate your time in responding.</P> <P>I was afraid that the choices were quite limited for tier 4 Gi's and such. With the limited time I get to play and impossible odds of me assembling a Bloodlines Chronicles group or raid for a Gi drop, I quess that I have to resign myself to looking like a scout again instead of a martial artist for this tier.</P> <P>What a shame, after finallly completing the tier 3 AQ's to get the monk style...having to lose that look in order to have any decent, level-appropriate gear. I'll start planning out having some decent dual wield imbueds made up for me though.</P> <P>I sincerely hope that the idea of new recipes for Gi's of all tiers would come to fruition... it would be an all around benefit for monks and crafters alike.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>
<P>Don't worry, you won't look like a scout, more like a Fury/Warden... I haven't had any luck finding a GI, so I was stuck with Dropps and and crafted leather armor. There is some pretty nice looking armor dropped by lamias for late 30's wich has also nice stats. </P> <P> </P> <P>As an taylor myself, I wish there would be GIs to be made by taylors.. but there are even monks that don't want that. To ensure it is something exclusive not everyone can have.. </P>
