Ohhh it works. It has saved me a few times. I seem to use it often in raids when I get hit with an AE. If you dont use it some od them raid AE dots will kill you faster than a healer can get to you. I have not used it really in a group or soloing but it is nice when you are dotted by an X4 mob.

It is our cure, one of our most useful spells.

When raiding if u get dotted this spell will prolly save ur life.

When dueling this spell cures most stuns roots the others cast on u.

You ll see rangers/wizards [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ing that their stun/root didnt land, oh baby it DID land but we can cure it cuz monks are IMBA ! ! !

i found out yesterday (during my first duel ever with a necro) that it does not cure fear...when i was getting feared outside of the duel ring i kept getting the message "you cannot use that ability while fleeing" or some such.

The ability does say that you must be facing the caster. So my guess is that since you were feared and running away it would not work.

Well, I guess it is just me, I'll have to try and pay closer attention and use it some more. I have tried it in a couple duels but didn't seem to get any dispells. Maybe I'm just getting old and senile. :smileytongue:

- If facing caster how can you be facing yourself? since this spell doesn't have a target i don't understand why this line is there...

I believe it means the caster of the hostile effect.

(ie. The one who put the DOT on you in the first place)

That still doesn't make much sense. What if the one who put the dot on you dies. Who do you face then? What if it's a trap that puts the dot on you? I've tried to use this spell but it's only ever dispelled anything once. If you ever find instances where it DOES work, please post the name of the mob, zone, and effect dispelled to give the rest of us a heads up.

I think you should probably /bug the whole if facing caster thing. Though in regards to curing fear I don't think that's possible in any event.About the Will line though, from my own experinces with the bruiser version I've noticed that both your own level vs mob level, and the amount of "levels" the lines cure is important in determining wether you can cure dots or not. I think that effects either has a % chance to be removed based on the previous two points, or they work similar to curse/poison/Disease counters and cure spells in EQLive, where each effect had X amount of counters, so it would take a cure spell with equal or more cure counters to remove an effect, or multiple casts of the cure spell until you reached the total number of the hostiles spells counters. Though I'm not so certain on the later part if that's how it works. Character Levels and spell rank though are important.

It works against AE's from X4 mobs. X2 and X4 golems in silent city. Ummm you name the X4 mob it works. I think it is mostly a raid usage CA. Like I said you are dpsing a raid mob. Almost all raid mobs have an AE effect. With the healers in the raid concentrating on the MA if you dont use Will of the sky within about 5 seconds after the AE hits you are toast. This is when I use this CA mostly when I am raiding. I have not seen really any single or group mobs with strong AE attacks.:smileyhappy:

Works for me. One time we were doing pp without a scout and with lower level healers, who didn't upgrade their dispell spells and after we killed a lvl65 and it dropped master chest. When we opened the chest we got diseased or crippled or whatever and the healers couldn't remove it. Will of the sky removed it from me and my heal adept3 removed it from each member I casted it on. During raid fights it removes a lot of dots and other crap the mobs throw up. I've got master1 version of it though The only thing I wished it did was to remove stun effects. It doesn't seem to be doing that.

In addition to to curing dots in raids and various stuns/roots, I use it to cure mezzes from traps so I can frolick around my group while they are forced to stare at rainbow glowies

I think I remember using it in Scorn to remove effects from the various named. They cast some poison dot that blurs vision and what have you. I'm pretty sure I use it there for the heck of it (not really necessary).

Definately works, especially when you get it up to adept III or Master, it even works against hard mob's junk that they throw your way. The best thing about it, is that you can use it while stunned or stifled, which means any stuns or stifles based on those things that it can cure, you can remove with it. This can be HUGE! Especially when your MT and being stunned for a few second can cause you to lose aggro and cause a wipe.

Lao,

Very useful spell IMO. Very fun to trick casters (especially enchanters) in duels also. Would like to see the recast timer shortened a bit because most mobs would do their second round of that same attack 30-60 seconds after, and we would be SOL for the next 2 minutes =P I only have Adept III of this spell right now (Dispells 85 Levels), however, i could not ever get Cazel's stuns off me. Anyone else having this experience?

I used mine last time when I soloed the scarecrow king (halloween groupx2 low-level mob). He has a ton of hitpoints, but couldn't ever hit me, but he got lucky and landed his one-minute stun on me twice. Being stunned for a full minute is boring, but I cured the stun away immediately and could continue smacking him. :smileyhappy:

So, it works, and it works while stunned. :smileyhappy:

Upgraded this to Master I today.

Sure wish I knew what "98 levels" of hostile damage was.

Is it damage from MOBs and Players up to level 98 !?!?!

Or does it mean something else ?

Sure would be swell if someone could clear this up for us. :smileywink:

"levels" is the strength of an effect, it has nothing to do with player- or NPC adventure levels. Let's say (just an example to explain this) a little spider in Antonica poisons you. The poison has a strength of "10" counters (levels), meaning that you can cure it with a poison cure that dispels 10 or more counters of poison. A tougher spider in sinking sands for example may have a poison DoT with a strength of 90 counters (levels). You could cure this poison by using you "98 levels" cure in one cast, or you could be cured twice for 45 counters and the effect would be cured too.

Make sense?

Makes absolute sense ! Thank you for a great explination !

Now, about that 2 min reuse timer ..... :smileytongue:
