the robe goes for about 15 to 20 plat on my server... so, that's hard to resist. but the regen is definitely sweet.. I think i'd probably sell it and do the GEBs HQ.

If your hurting for cash, Sell it.
If not, its definetly a nice piece and if I looted one I would do the quest and attune it in a heartbeat.

I'm not sure what type of gamer you are, but in raids, I would definetly use it, although I'd feel bad if a healer friend wasn't wearing one .

I use GEBs all the time in raids, and I'm dying for a Band of the Shimmering Spirit (Battlement of the Mind +7 In Combat Power Regen) ring. Also chose power regen for all my traits.

This basically means you can be more of a power [Removed for Content] with less of the downfalls.

Weigh the pros & cons of selling it or using it.

money is pretty easy to come by at higher levels, and even when you have a lot theres not really a whole lot to spend it on, a set of crafted gear and weps or getting your spells upgraded is just about it, maybe once in a blue moon you might find a master spell that you need but thats pretty rare. i attuned my robe and never regretted it.

Robes are mage items and a mage should have it. I'd sell it.

except when its nice to use...

Nah, I'm for class-restricted armor/gear all the way. Mage class can only wear mage gear, yet -ALL- other classes can and are allowed to wear mage gear as well. Their gear is spread out over all classes and this only lowers the chances for mages to obtain good gear. This also makes their items are less available, and that means more expensive. (Not to mention the excessive 'treasured' platemail and warrior class weaponry that drops in DOF.)

There are enough vla items in DoF with +15 or more int on them. Noone will compete with the mages for those items. consider yourself happy that the attribute you need is not needed by all fighters, scouts and priests.

I'll make you a bet that your next chest loot will not be a piece of mage gear/armor (with stats ofcoz, no merch fodder).

Interestingly enough, I have seen more agi/str robes than int robes. That sucks for the rising mages, but nice for the dpsing monks.

I can kind of see both sides of this. I don't like the fact that everyone can wear most VLA including the RoI but I also like Robes on Monks. Just seems right. I remember Monks being able to wear some robes in eq. Thats why my little monk wears a barrister robe around town.. I just like the way it looks after looking at the GI for so long. :smileyhappy:

Message Edited by Uanelven on 11-29-2005 02:11 AM

Not only the good legendary stuff, but even fabled ones.
