I'm only level 20 but please tell me the refresh time on our attack are not all 30 sec ? When i'm fighting group of mobs i'm constantly waiting for my good attacks to refresh, 30 sec is way too long, it should be around 20 sec in my opinion. I fight a group of 2 heroics, i need all my attack to kill the 1st one then after i killed it i'm attacking for 15 sec with my standard attack.

At level 33, I have 2 attacks that are on 10 sec timers, but all the rest are on the 30 sec timers. One thing to note though is that you will get more attacks (I have I think 12 attacks on separate timers at 33) and more importantly, you will get several haste buffs that will make your auto attacks much more valuable.

In a typical solo fight, I start with the 2 10 sec timer ones, then hit the other 10. By then, the first 2 are reset, so I get off 14 attacks, then reset my 'jolting hands' (added damage to 8 melee hits). Against solo white con MOBs, they are dead before my attacks recycle.

I can say that I don't think I've had a fight vs solo mobs (even yellow ^) that lasts long enough for the 30 sec timer attacks to reset more than once. But I'm in fully T4 legendary crafted armor/weapons, so that might not apply for everyone in my level range.

It's not that bad! Most classes would kill for a 30 sec timer! You'll just have to learn how to make the most of your attacks by ordering them in the most efficient maner, such as stunning the mob, running around back and unloading your flurry attack and your high damage palm attack, and then stunning again and using our knockdown.

Having a 30 second timer on our CA's is really not bad at all - especially if you time your attacks properly. As you progress, you'll learn how to use your skills to their maximum effieciency - both solo, group and in raid situations.

This forum is a fountain of knowledge on CA usage. Search the forums on CA progression and which ones work best together yielding minimal power consumption. I'm sure you can find your niche and enjoy your monk to its fullest.

Good luck!

For me, one key to this is don't just spam your arts as fast as you can... pay particular attention to your stuns/knockdowns, don't hit one until the previous one has worn off. That 1 or 2 seconds pause between each one spreads them out a bit more. If you're fighting a caster mob, hold any stuns/knockdowns/interrupts to stop them once they start casting a spell. As stated in the previous post there's even more in depth suggestions all over this forum.

And one of the biggest things I noticed as I leveleed up was how the fights always seem to get longer and longer. Menaing that you will be spamming your 30 second CAs! 30 Second CA's are really a relief.
For Mages, some of their big hits are on 45second+ timers.
For Guardians, their big hit is on a 1minute timer.
For Scouts, Their big hits are on ridiculous timers, 30minutes, 5minutes, 15minutes. ETC.

Be happy .
