<DIV>I know there are a ton of these posts out there, but haven't seen any sine LU16 addressing this question. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone parsed, say a pair of ironwood QS's vs an ironwood Bo?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I like the Bo animations better and could save 2p on a rare. But if the DPS is better on the QS, I would go that route. </DIV>

Vice Versa? If I were to choose stricltly based on what I want, I'd go Bo. Well in all honestly, it's not gonna make a lick of difference what you choose really. If you really dig on a certain animation style, go for that. You're the one that has to look at it all the time. Ideally you'd have both dual wield and 2 hander. Woods are pretty cheap it seems, so getting some quarter staffs or batons and a bo staff isn't out of the question. If you raid, or do named encounters, having alternate damage types can come in handy, but pelts and ore seem to be more expensive. What lvl of haste do you usually find yourself with? Can you max yourself out? Do you just come close? If you're close to the max haste cap try and pick weapons with higher damage and delay, just so that you don't end up wasting that extra haste. If the T6 weapons have different stats, it would be a different story. But with the same stats, and minor differences in delays, the most important factors are going to be looks and cost. The bo staff is a bad [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] weapon no doubt about it. It's cheap, effective, good for soloing and tanking, and has decent dps all around. Plus the animations look spiffy. The cobalt great mace is pretty awesome too, especially if you're near the haste cap. As for what to choose for dps/tanking/soloing... Personally, I use 2hb for soloing and tanking atm. I haven't done enough tests between DW and 2hb in tanking yet, but from my soloing experience, 2hb still gives less ripostes by its very nature. I haven't had troubles with agro using only 2hb either, but some people may need the extra agro from dw. For DPS, if the mobs are high orange, i use 2hb as well, because then when i do manage to hit, they are bigger hits. Parses seem to bear this out as well. If the mobs are closer to my lvl, DW wins hands down. In the end I plan on getting a pair of cestii as well for alternate damage types to compliment my bo staff and fighting batons so i can just switch things out as the situation dictates...  and I'm not an uber rich monk either. I mostly solo a few hours a week, and do guild groups occasioanally. So it is doable by the average player IMO. <div></div>
